It looks as though the upcoming movie Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets may have taken a couple of visual cues from ME...

Ohhh, I got a bunch more things I can hook up in my mission now. Yay more banter! Yay mysterious Alien! Yay Alien Squadmate!
Jos @Sjosz
That's weird, when I write cool stuff about ME:A it just turns into something redacted. Like for instance the Alien that I recruited.
This week has been surreal and positive in so many respects. I'm grateful to have a week like this.
Does any dev already said anything about the possibility of the masss effect 3 save file being able to be imported to andromeda? I know i know , theres no shepard, it is years and years after the trilogy etc dbut hey, i suppose if the game is being made in the Mass Effect universe and dithappens AFTER the events of the trilogy, so why wouldn't our choices from the previous games matter after all?
I mean, so if Shepard's acts had no impact on anything at all , it will be like if he never existed and made no difference....is that what will gonna happen to ME:A?
Maybe one example of interesting stuff that could be carried over is the choice of the player to kill or to let go the Rachni Queen. So if there's a new game now, maybe there could be Rachni, or not (from ME1).
Or what you have decided to do with the Collector's base in ME2: to only kill them, or destroy it, or keeping the way it was. This base could serve a purpose in the new game for example.
In ME3 you have to choose to kill the krogan team and therefore saving the Rachni queen (again) or kill the insect once and for all.
Theres also the possibility to have all geth killed in the confront with the quarians or having them working WITH the quarians in the repopulation of Rannoch, which lead to the existence or not of a Geth population in the new Andromeda.
And of course all the 3 endings have the possibility to be chosen as canon, although many would disagree with both of them being the "right one" and if there was a right one, then what you have chosen could be different from it so after all they couldn't use any as canon in practice.
Well all of this is assuming the game is AFTER the events of the trilogy, which i'm not sure if it is the case (is it confirmed?) because theres people talking about the "early escape theory" as if there's any evidence that this game would take place chronologically after the trilogy.

While a save import feature will most likely not happen, I can see them doing what they did for Dragon Age with the Dragon Age Keep.
Working near midnight on a Thursday before a long weekend means you really hate or love your job. Latter, all the way.
Don't work too late, man. We're gonna need you fresh for a while yet.

Andromeda is a new story with new characters in a different galaxy that starts long after the trilogy ended. Now why do people still cling to the trilogy? The game is not a continuation of the previous series. So why would Bio consider a Keep or file save import feature? There is no value to Bio to do this.
A clean break from the trilogy gives Bio's writers the room to tell a different story with no baggage or ties to the past.

If we leave during any point or after the Shepard Trilogy, then it is a continuation of the series. It takes place in a different galaxy, but the events that shaped our cycle before they left would still shape them. Like for example since we know there will be krogan in Andromeda whether they were cured before we leave or not would shape them and the other species. The only way it would be a full clean break would be if they left before Mass Effect 1, since then the only thing that would effect them is the established canon.

A Bio studio manager tried to explain with an analogy. The trilogy is about a set of characters in WW1 and Andromeda is about a new set of characters in WW2.
If you believe its a continuation, that's your prerogative. However, to me it clear.... Andromeda is a new story with no ties to WW1.

Also Jos, if you feel the need to share anything you could just do it in Dutch and no one will ever know.
Well, except for me and a couple of others, but we can keep a secret!
