Each year, countless BioWare players experience all the feels. These are their stories: https://youtu.be/Ag7jbNtJ6yM
"I romanced Solas..." Enough said ![]()
DAI had a lot of feels in my opinion. Romance music (yes, the music), the ending to Trespasser combined with the epic soundtrack was fantastic as well. Choosing to sacrifice Hawke in the Fade (sorry Varric
). Watching all the advisers walk in on the Inquisitor and Iron Bull romance had me dying of laughter "Oh for f!ck's sake!" ![]()
But the most powerful moment of DAI was In Your Heart Shall Burn. That mission is the epitome, the very peak of what Bioware games should represent. Great story and character development both for Corypheus and for the Inquisition (recovering from such a disaster, the long walk to Skyhold, etc.). Gameplay was tight and excellent. Soundtrack was ear-gasmic. The battle music sent shivers down my spine, and The Dawn Will Come really drove the long but necessary battle we had to wage. The moment I had finished this mission, I told my myself "Bioware is back baby!!!". I had already clocked in 50 hours by then, the length of a standard RPG. And then I reached Skyhold and realized the game had just begun, and was excited like a little kid again ![]()
To be honest, I would have sacrificed 2-3 exploration zones in DAI in exchange for 2-3 more missions of that high caliber. While the rest of DAI is still very good, it never reaches that peak again for the rest of the game (little development of Corypheus, final mission was a bit lackluster because of it). I hope that Bioware keeps this in mind when making DAI. Because after playing DAI, I can really see the potential for MEA to be a spectacular game, if they put more missions like In Your Heart Shall Burn.
Bioware, more "In Your Heart Shall Burn" please, and no to massive exploration areas with no content to explore ![]()
