Yep, I call LEGIT on this one! Supposedly it's from 2014 footage, so the game should look better by now.

Hopefully we'll see what the game looks like now come E3. I'm even more excited now.

Lol. I'm not affiliated. The "Official" is just there because sometimes on different social media sites plain ol' "BioFan" is taken by some account that hasn't been used in like 4 years.

See? It is already starting. Start off with a couple'a leaks to known sources...
By the time that week of EA Play comes along, we're gonna be so thirsty that we won't care if that hype train runs us over.

This wasn't leaked intentionally. Someone found a developer's portfolio on their personal website. EA's marketing team would never allow unpolished game footage to get out like that, and you can see that they asked YouTube to take it down almost immediately.
It was an accident, not a conspiracy to make people hyped.

Hm... One can't deny the hyped interest, it created here.
The take down is laughable. Once in the net, stays in the net. I found the video in several places, even after said take downs. Besides, if DA:I's marketing showed me anything, it's that marketing will go to any length (short of violating the laws directly), to create brand awareness / interest. All you need to do is look at the many and unending leaks of smartphone pictures from ALL manufacturers that appear before launch.
With the secrecy imposed on ME:A + "secret IP" by EA/Bio (which to me also means keeping ALL game info locked inside the studio's computers/offices), how can one find a developer's portfolio on their personal website? You are aware, I hope, that EA has security agents scanning all EA/Studio posts for potential threat msgs against employees+senior mngt? Having security measures in place for secret IPs or game development is a no brainer. AAA titles that cost 100+ million dollars is worth the security efforts to prevent internal and external breaches .
The timing was perfect for creating a buzz just before EA PLAY. E3 is a well known event but EA/Bio won't be attending. So how do you create EA PLAY awareness when ME:A info was in the dumps? Put another way. Is it coincidence that this "leaked" video gave us nothing new? Is it coincidence that for a long time ME:A info was successfully kept close to the chest? What a remarkable coincidence that an unintentional leaked escaped into the wild before EA PLAY.
I respectfully disagree with you on this one. It was intentional.

EA Play is two months away. It's nowhere near being close.
I have two main issues with what you've said here, and, respectfully, I don't think you've thought about this properly at all. Firstly, why would EA leak an old, unfinished video showing mostly visual effects prototypes instead of literally anything else that they could produce? A "real" marketing video would show the game at its best, most current state, would show what EA wanted everyone to focus on (certainly not pollen spores), and would be distributed by the publisher to games news websites instead of being spread around on forums. It makes zero sense for them to 'leak' a developer's VFX showreel instead of, I don't know, a trailer for the game or something.
To put it another way: an actual video that was made by EA would be a hell of a lot more effective at marketing the game than this one. Bioware and EA already have the capability to make trailers and gameplay demos - why would they want fans' first exposure to the game to be 30 seconds of random visual effects that aren't very impressive by themselves? There are far better ways of creating hype than releasing two-year-old videos with unfinished cutscenes and textures. Heck, a 'leaked' trailer right now with character or story information would generate way more attention than this video.
Secondly, it seems you aren't aware how much information about videogames is leaked by accident from developers' posts on forums and personal websites.
After a minute of searching Google, some games that have had information or assets leaked by artists' demo reels include Duke Nukem Forever, Thief 4, The Sims 4, a James Bond game, a Metroid game, Grand Theft Auto V, and Horizon. I suppose all of them were intentionally leaked to generate hype, right?
The person who posted the VFX video on NeoGAF said they regularly find demo reels for upcoming games. They found art assets for Fallout 4. In 2014, they mentioned having access to a bunch of cut content and developer demo reels from ME1-3. Their previous posts - and they have 1500 - are full of criticism for EA and EA Play in particular. Unless your vast conspiracy extends to EA having sleeper forum agents who criticise the company relentlessly than are given leaked videos to post, the far more likely (and, you know, obvious) explanation is that a very dedicated Mass Effect fan did intense searching online and found the source of this video. In October 2015, a character artist at Bioware Montreal posted new screenshots of the protagonist's armour on a forum related to ZBrush 3D modelling software.
At the end of the day, what we have is a rough VFX portfolio video from a developer that was inadvertently put on their website and then leaked because someone invested enough time to find it. To believe that EA wanted a video like this to be our first big exposure to Mass Effect Andromeda, let alone to believe that they actually leaked it themselves, is absurd. There is no evidence for an EA conspiracy in this situation, and the arguments you've made in favour of it are ignorant at best.

So in the process of doing research for that post above, I ran across the LinkedIn page of a Bioware VFX artist which mentions a "Mass Effect: Contact" game.
Guess those early rumours about Andromeda being called Contact were true!

Well, I do see a connection to the name "contact" considering that Contact the movie is close to Interstellar which they're obviously inspired by, Contact is about humans getting in contact with what they think are aliens and Andromeda is about humanity being the aliens the species of Andromeda get into contact with and things like that.

A videogame leaks website says they found the website of the developer mentioned in the original NeoGAF post, and after using the Internet Archive found a 2013 video of what seems to be a prototype mass relay.
http://nerdleaks.com...t-andromeda-243
Unconfirmed, but it looks like other people have found the same source for the original VFX video. I wonder if it's offline now? I've had no luck.

That video show something that work differently form a mass relay though.
A mass relay apply a mass free effect on the ship between two relays. In that video, something is created by the four pylons/arms and the ship goes through it.
