That said, the way some segments of the BioWare Fandom tear into just about everything they say and show...

Snip

                                                                                       <<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>

This all comes down to how DA:I was marketed. The over-hype created expectations that never materialized. Add the changes made in combat mechanics and the ambiguous meaning of a "PC game for PC gamers by PC gamers.." and that is how one shoots one's foot. The subsequent rise of player anger due to day 0 bugs, driver issues, patch created problems, super small fonts....I mean.. take a gander at the EA DA:I tech support forum...... Also, Bio wants to avoid a repeat of the ME3 ending fiasco and the poor DA:I reception by the PC and old gen console gamer community.

I think the Bio Studio wants to nail this correctly with a  flawless launch.  You can't do that by giving the marketing azzez a free pass. They will work with gusto to screw it up.

To paraphrase many, here, "it's Miller time..".  I'm out on the deck with a Brewski right now.....

If they can't put in some things due to being on older consoles,I can only imagine what had to happen to the game mechanics for the exact same reason.

The cryptic tweets are getting frustrating. But I am at their mercy, I am a consumer and I will buy their game....I can't change how often they tweet or what they say.

All I can do is post waiting gifs.

This gif is good too. ;)

Yeah, I don't exactly blame the ME team (for instance) for pretty much going silent for four years after what happened last time.

But by the same token, they can't just... not communicate at all. One blog post/twitch stream a year on N7 Day is pretty bad compared to what a lot of other studios manage. A lot of what *has* been said has been through media interviews, which is fine, but at the end of the day they're not actually talking directly with the people who are going to end up playing their game.

I cant blame them either sections of the fanbase saw fit to send them death threats and harassed them endlessly when they did. Not that they didn't retaliate but who wants to be a part of that forever. If this place is anything to go by they'll only tear down anything gets said or shown anyway.

I hate the wait but it might be a good thing to leave game culture out of it for a while. I'll admit though it just seems like we're being trolled some days,

The problem with the "They are doing what Bethesda did with Fallout 4" is that they released a trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda last year at E3, and yet have shown practically nothing else for nearly a year now. They have already done something that runs against what Bethesda did.

Well, when they showed that Trailer Bethesda's marketing hadn't proven effective yet, so they probably saw that and decided to change their tack.

Then they should have waited until the next game to try that tact and stuck with what was planned for Andromeda before that.

I've been trying to find a tweet from one of the BioWare crew (months ago) who said something to the effect of, "I wish we could have a short marketing campaign like Bethesda."

So I wonder when they're going to replace the BSN backdrop with something more... Andromeda-y

They sold Inquisition's ending separately- Tresspasser. I dont know man, there was no outrage. This might encourage them to repeat ME3 ending or even worse. And sadly, cuts happen all the time compared to the half done product the companies show us. In case of DA3 the scissor cut very deep unfortunately, and more importantly a whole lot of people didnt notice that the game was half done. missing the actual content from the beautifully crafted world. Well, what can you do, lets just hope luck is with us with Andromeda and everything comes together, but i really dont expect flawless PC support. They are incompetent in that department.

Why?

Don't get me wrong, I get the anticipation, I just don't understand why a few people are getting mad about the radio silence. It's not like them sharing more would make the game arrive faster.

Idk about you but it makes the wait easier for me plus more things to talk about on this site. I'm tired of those hair threads.
I get excited when I hear news about my favourite franchises.

This entry is to fill in Bio Twitter Empty Space

A while back a Bio mgr mentioned that making aliens was hard work ( I believe it was in response to a question why we don't have many new aliens). Now, I don't take anything that Bio mgrs say at face value. Blame it on the DA:I marketing hyperbole. Still, it caught my attention.

The Zbrush Summit of 2015 had some interesting entries (artists submit works at the Workshops). David Giraud gave a time lapse video of his work in creating and detailing bust of an alien... from concept to finish product. And, it's true. It is hard work.

Furio Tedeschi (a senior character artist at Bioware Montreal working on Andromeda) also made a presentation at the summit about the process of creating a character. He included the N7 model (made by another artist) you saw in the teaser trailer. Furio presented workflows for concepts using Dynamesh, then exporting the model to KeyShot with the Keyshot bridge. He also talked about taking the models through a production pipeline for film and video games.

From Furio Tedeschi:

Artists biographies and past work can be found below: Furio's is interesting.

super cool! This N7 armor is definately gorgeous, but the operator must have some artistic traits indeed to create something real good

It would let us be able to discuss actual things about the game, rather than the shooting in the dark or random discussions that dominate this forum. People have questions, so answer a few of them.

Plus for those on the fence it will let them either know to stay interested or if this game isn't for them.

It appears things are in motion for a reveal soon. Things are stirring, hints of the game coming together from behind the scenes and appearances from under rocks.

There's PAX East this weekend, but they're not really having a big presence there. Is there any other con before June? I know they're coming out with their official con schedule soon.
