I did too! Although I always magined the Elcor weighing a touch more than that. 1000 kg (or one metric ton) is not THAT much weight when you think about it. And the Elcor, having come from a high-gravity world, seem like they would be much heavier than they appear on the first glance on account of how dense their bodies have to be. Okay, I am now actually curious - do any of you lore savvy people care to share how much an Elcor weighs?

How I Got My Start: I started as a programmer (engineer) 16 years ago at BioWare. I worked on tools that our artists and designers used to make Baldur’s Gate II.

 

Since then, my role has shifted from a front-line developer to a manager of multiple teams at multiple locations. It’s been a big shift full of lessons, mistakes, successes, and a lot of fulfilling work.

 

Free Advice: I would remind myself that the difficult times pass and to stay true to what your fans and players want. When an all else fails, you can lean on that relationship.

Really? "...stay true to what your fans want."? Did you ever bother to read the posts from the DA:I PC Community Concerns thread?

What exactly did you stay true to? 'cause I fear that whatever you stayed true to DA:I's fans and players PC wants,  ME:A will have similar lack of  "wants" delivery.

 

BTW, Mr. Flynn, I pre-ordered the game, upgraded my CPU, motherboard and discreet graphics card to play the game. After patch 6, I was still waiting for my wants and have not played the game since.

yeah, he must be an outliar because the general comunity liked DA:I a lot.

But i can understand when you so much want to play a game and some damn hardware or software incompatibility or error pops out and ruin your day....

You can't please everyone, that is a fact of life. Aaryn is obviously speaking in broad strokes when he says to listen to what the fans want. Not every request can be met. Corners have to be cut in game development all the time, unfortunately. This time happened to affect the PC version of DAI. Not that it was unplayable, mind you, but still.

 

Was the DAI PC version the best it can be? Probably not, especially when compared to DAO. However, the feedback given by the community is now Bioware's for the taking. If MEA's PC version is lackluster, then we can seriously complain.

 

As for being able to run the game, there's always going to be a certain percentage of PCs that simply cannot run the game for X reason. Could be anything, but there is no way for Bioware to account for every case, every hardware configuration, etc. From my experience, DAI ran like a charm (interface was another matter). It's just tough luck. And as for the PC version, you can always get a refund on Origin if the PC version is not adequate, and wait for patches, if they help. Nothing wrong with voicing your opinion with your wallet...

I only ran twice.  Course, my second run through was a completionist run through.  Killed all the dragons, still don't have Belle Of The Ball (ugh, you had to make it point based, didn't you?  If I lose one point, I don't get the achievement).

I got that on first time thru.  Pay attention to what you say during the dance.  That's where I get it.

Indeed. Answering a question with another question (middle right option usually) works very well. Also the "crow" options if you have Underworld Knowledge. Got it on my first try as well.

My last save is in the Palace, which was at patch 6.

A few days ago, I fire it up again and Origins insisted on installing Patch 10. The game is in the back burner for now. I sorta lost my original enthusiasm for the game.. I'll get around to it "soon". Right now, HOI4 and Stellaris are in my radar.

I have 21. 18 on the ps3 and 3 on the ps4 that I bought a month ago with another playthrough that's nearly completed.

I'd have to give up a lot to make free time for that many runs. ME I can do that for but not DA.
