Fixed up the 3 screenshots a bit. Unfortunately I don't have PS here, so it's a bit of a hack job...

Battlefield 1, Stellaris right around the corner (can't wait for Mass Effect mods!) and now we get new Mass Effect Andromeda pics. What a lovely weekend!
I come back from Civil War and news from MEA just got posted. What a pleasent surprise ![]()
This was quite an impressive week working on #MEAndromeda. The team made some great progress!

Huh, yah, I suppose that can be rings around something. I was looking at the forward edge of the cloud and the image got blurred.

What skyboxes? Where?
What are skyboxes?
Cool photos! Maybe will get some sort of trailer or a game informer article before EA play.
That armour looks like a slightly upgraded ME1 wetsuit. Are we going to have class determine armour again? I'm gonna go dunk my head in cold water and come back to reassess.
My favourite missions in ME were the ones on ringed planets.
Looks like we get another ringed planet?

i would say this is actually a hugely enormous enemy ship, just like independence day's one, but bigger.
THey said before they were working on huge creatures so this could be fun, like the citadel floating around the planet.
Because the curvature of this thing doesn't comply with a proper planet's rings one, its not alligned that way with the planet. And if its not, then what else could it be circling then?
It's also got clouds in front of it.
Might be rings, might be a ship/vehicle. Looks wrong for anything biological, tho, so I doubt it's alive (unless the devs decide to make a metallic race, or one that looks like a pan pizza!)

Guess that is how our ship is going to look like with a better view of planets and stars, a control panel in front. I like how they are approaching.

My suspicion is that it is a planetary ring, but seen from the surface of a moon of that planet.

I've no idea if they're gonna add class restrictions to armour again, but if it is an ME1-style light-armour wetsuit, it'd line up pretty neatly with the speculation(leak? I can't remember) that the undersuit of our armour - as in, without any of the plating layered over the top - is gonna be an option for our 'casual', shipboard clothes.

The SPARTAN IVs in Halo do something similar--that outfit they're all in is the lowermost layer of their MJOLNIR armour.
The artwork they put above the playable area to look like the sky, basically. What skyboxes? Where?

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me. A moon orbiting the ring planet at a considerably different angle than the rings.

Hair Styles
If the above is any indication (I see no helmet), hair will remain abysmal in Andromeda. Characters will be designed with the severe hair restrictions imposed by the FB3 engine. I shudder to look at FemShep2.
Bio, why don't you throw a curve ball and surprise all? Make us, in a pleasant manner, go oooh and aaah at the hair of our alien LI.

Are you saying that the hairs look bad in that shot, or that the hairstyle is a simple/short one? Because on the former case I can't say if they hair looks good or bad by that shot, and in the latter a single pic doesn't mean much.
I wouldn't expect long hairstyles anyway, but I do hope (while remaining cautious) that even if not excellent the hair and beard quality will be at least decent. Regardless of the actual value of Frostbite in this department, DAI looks worse then other Frostbite games in hairs and beards (Even stubbles), there's abslutely no reason they can't improve on DAI on this.
Yeah. We know that BioWare have historically been bad at hair, but there's no way that you can reasonably infer anything whatsoever from one blurry and near-detail-less screenshot of a man standing with most of his head in shadow.

My first thought was ID4 as well. Glad to see i wasn't the only one seeing it.
It looks to be in atmosphere though the ships in ID4 only look like this when they entering the atmosphere.
I still cant help but hope its a ship.

That better be a first level armour with gear upgrades down the road. Perhaps personal defense shields augments its capabilities and the "wet suit look" provides movement flexibility for the jump jet attachments.
On the other hand, class armour is not a bad idea. Current military doctrine is to wear the right gear for the job. Scouting missions, for example, requires speed and stealth+surveillance gear, not combat armour that slows you down.
