****, this combat is hard as nails. That'd be great if it weren't the first proper encounter in this mission. #space

Make it harder!!
Err,

That begs it.
One of the true Beerfish is shocked moments in a bioware game. I had no idea she was going to do it, honest!
This is confusing, breaking the 4th wall and all, Mercury transit, EDI??
BioWare @bioware
EDI, take us past the Sun. #MercuryTransit

BioWare just overlaid the Normandy over Mercury as it passed across the sun earlier today...

Wonder if Doctor Healbeams took a BB gun along. ![]()
I hope there is a very easy modality. I have no intention to play dark souls in space. I hate difficult games. U_U
These games have difficulty settings for a reason. One of them is so we can have both.
MAKE IT HARDER!

By all means, make it harder! Insanity in ME3 was a joke. After all those platinum missions in ME3's multiplayer, single player became a cake walk.
And they said that if anyone managed to solo Platinum, a certain Jos would eat his hat. Remember Jos ...

Story Mode or something really easy will definitely be here. I do hope Insanity looks like a really difficult mode this time around.

A lot of games lately have incorporated a "casual" mode to focus on story instead of combat, I wonder if MEA will do the same.
While I play Uncharted on hard my first time through, have platinumed DAI and Infamous Second son on their hardest modes, I will admit I played Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3 on casual. *SCRUB ALERT*

Well, ME3 did it, so it's safe to assume.
@BioMasika is trying his hand at that combat encounter and in his initial attempt he got creamed. He'll beat it though, I hope.
This scares me.

An Update on Mass Effect: Andromeda
With Mass Effect™: Andromeda, our team at BioWare™ is exploring how far they can take this beloved franchise. Yes, we’re building the best of what we all love about Mass Effect – amazing stories, characters and fun third-person shooter combat – and bringing them along with us on the expedition to Andromeda. But we’re also excited to be introducing new features and ways you can enjoy a Mass Effect game.
• More Freedom: One of our biggest ambitions is to give players an unprecedented level of freedom for a Mass Effect experience –where you’ll go, how you’ll get there, and how you’ll play.
• New Uncharted Worlds: We’re leaving the Milky Way behind and headed to Andromeda, where we’ll meet new allies, confront new enemies, and explore fascinating new worlds.
• The Next Great Mass Effect Experience: Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the first Mass Effect game for today’s consoles and the first built on the Frostbite engine. We’re pushing the technology to deliver visuals, story, and gameplay that have never been done in franchise history.
As we’ve been playing the game at the studio recently, it’s showing us that we’re taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you.
Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017. We can’t wait to show you how far we’re all going to go. We’ll see you at the EA PLAY press conference on June 12, with an update.
Thank you for your patience and support.
Mostly just confirming the move to early 2017. Seems a bit odd when it was already announced at the EA press conference thing, but hey.
Nice to know it'll be at EA Play though ![]()
EDIT: Actually the EA quarterly investor call is today, so I suppose it makes sense that they'd have to announce it as part of their financial outlook and revenue projections.
Yeah, it's kind of funny they send out this formal update for what we already knew.

Just curious, I thought they confirmed this like awhile ago?

Confirmation of some things, so nice. EA Play will hopefully provide a lot of new info.
Just curious, I thought they confirmed this like awhile ago?
I don't think Bioware confirmed it, and when EA were talking about it they said it in a kind of vague way.
It was something like "MEA will be out in Q4 2017" (which is the financial year, it actually means the first three months of calendar 2017), and people had to sort of work backwards to find out they meant it had been moved from "Holiday 2016".
This feels much more like an actual announcement ![]()
