-Uh, I don't mind if some are. I just don't want an overall dumbed experience. I felt that for example with combat and skills, ME2 went too far, but ME3 was an enjoyable balance for me. (specifically for combat and skills here...)
ME2's skill set-up was pretty bad. The whole "put points in skill X so you can, eventually, put points in skill Y" worked for ME1 because it had a lot of skill points but for ME2 where there were so few skill points... I ended up not being able to max out all the skills I used because the game required me to put points into skills I never ever used just to unlock it. There were also too few skills for my taste. It was fun to be able to chose different approaches to the skills by evolving them. ME3 was a great mix of the ME1 and ME2 system. Lots of skills, lot's of skillpoints, able to tailor a skill to your playstyle, etc.
I hope the Combat and skills is similar to the ME3 system.

The game is still in the stage of adding gameplay features and systems? 2019 release date here we go...
But anyway, I would rather have deeper customization & freedom in whatever systems they already have in the game. More armors parts if they have armor pieces customization, more mods if they have mods, more companion armor & stats options, better economy etc. Don't want features bloat just for the sake of it like Assassin's Creed does. Minor quality-of-life stuff like respeccing, changing appearance post-CC would be great but not sure about implementing new big systems at this stage

A new way to remove the need for thermal clips. While the ME1 method has been set aside, one now has to do the same for immersion by policing clips after battles before heading to the next room or area. This was greatly improved in ME3, but is still problematic and lowers the urgency of the moment and missions.

If playing as an engineer, have a mini turret like the Cerberus engineers
The ability to use a shield or maybe an omni shield like the shadow broker
The option to have the main character solo missions. Shepard could've played ME3 without having squadmates
Better casual clothing
More renegade interrupts. Some lead to very nasty and brutal results
Have a disapproval/approval system applied to squadmates and crew instead of just the main character

Pretty much every game that has ever feature a morality system does the same thing.
And for very, very good reason.
Paragon is not idealism and renegade is not pragmatism.
