Shepard: Traynor, what's on my schedule?
Traynor: Cure the Genophage and convince the Krogan to help the Turians, sir.
Shepard: **** that, put Bulky McManBoobs on it. The talking bowling balls have side missions for me. Also, what are your thoughts on hot tubs?

Elsewhere in the universe....
*The universes least interesting man* I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I'm still not interesting.

How awesome would it have been if Male Shepard was voiced by Jeremy Irons?

He has great range. I think he could pull it off.
Shepard would be older since the actor is 64.

I suppose given humanity's longer life expectancy in Mass Effect, 64 would be more like 34.
It can work. He's a very good classically trained actor who can pull of a great variety of characters.

It's an odd choice though.

No offense to Mark Meer, he's a great actor, but I wish that there was a range of voices to choose from. I know that wouldn't really be practical, considering how much dialogue the Mass Effect games have, but still, I can dream.

I've done the calculations before, and 64 would be about 42-43 in the MEverse
(You simply divide by 1.5 Posted Image)

So it's feasible to have a 64 year old human marine in the Mass Effect Universe?

If you divide by 1.5 to get equivalent ages, how old is Zaeed Massani supposed to be (given that he looks pretty old).

Furthermore if people live longer, do they age slower? Does this mean that people in their mid 20's don't look old enough to pass off as adults?

I've noticed that over our history the age when people are considered to be adults has risen. 12, 14, 16, 18 and in some parts of the world 21.

Does that mean a human would have to be in thier mid to late 20's to be considered an adult in the Mass Effect Universe.

Goodness. Commander Shepard is exceptionally young. 30 something which makes Shepard 20 relatively speaking. In other words barely an adult.

I think he is a little more experienced than that. They wouldn't put a newb fresh out of the academy on a super seecret mission like that. Plus, Spectre.

Kind of like Dragon Age 2 with Snarky Sarcastic Hawke, Snarky Aggressive Hawke and Snarky Snarky Hawke, or like Dragon Age Origins with completely different actors for each set of voices?

Because in PSO2 (Phantasy Star Online 2) you can change the range of your characters voice quite dramatically, and I think they're provided not by multiple actors, but a single actor and modified in a computer, and it gives a really unique feel to your character in an MMO like that.
Of course, I don't think they have many spoken lines beyond "Thank you" and "I'm hurt".

in case you didn't know this was a bump
