If you bring Liara with Javik or Kaidan you have an epic team.
Make Shepard a biotic and bring both Liara and Javik and you can easily dominate insanity.
Though insanity isn't so challenging that you need to create biotic explosions every 2 seconds.

To be honest, my comment belongs on the Strategy section of the Mass Effect 3 forums.

Take the sniper rifle and gve Traynor a combat knife and a couple of grenades. If anyone is going to be carrying a gun that can kill two people with one shot, it should be you, and if Traynor is awesome enough to kill two people with one sniper rifle shot, she should be able to do awesome things with a combat knife and a few grenades.

This is precisely why Javik would come in handy.
The time it takes to setup and detonate biotic explosions, Shepard could blitz an enemy to death with adrenaline rush.

Javik and Liara combined giving the Dark Channel followed by warp combo will deciminate foes very quickly.
