I've created a new Key placeable item to open a locked door only my add to inventory code seems to be silently failing.  Here is the code  to add to the inventory which is simple enough are there any other considerations I should be aware of, such as XLS's to change or propreties to set?

UT_AddItemToInventory(R"pgh_demo_hutkey.uti");

(bump)



If I could resolve this problem my gaming industry topping addon (*cough* ok wiki basics tutorial with a few extras *cough*) will be complete and next week I'll beable to retire a trillionare!



So please for the sake of my 17 starving children and 6 shoeless wives give me some feed back because I'm blatantly missing something obvious as usual.



I've created a new item, given it an image, set it as a plot item, set it to unique given it a name of "Marthas Hut Key" and tag of "pgh_demo_hutkey" but the usual UT_AddItemToInventory(R"pgh_demo_hutkey.uti"); doesn't appear to work.



I'm all ears to any ideas regardless of how obvious they may seem.

Are you exporting the item? Are you sure the script is running? Other really obvious questions I should be able to think of but can't because I'm tired?

I've managed to get it working although I'm not 100% sure how.



I think it's some thing to do with :-



a. exporting various xml's

b. my file structure discipline is pretty lame and I think I have to export multiple folders as a results

c. I created a new item with module set to core



I'll experiment until I find the cause.
