The game was rushed.  Why do you think Fenris has no shoes??? No Female dwarves. Shoeless Fenris equal rushed game and too short of a development cycle.

I think that was an artistic choice. They even draw attention to the elves' shoelessness in dialogue. (Merrill: Everything here is cold, hard stone. I wished I'd worn shoes with soles now.)

Tallis had shoes.  If I was an elf...I would certainly convert to the Qun to wear shoes. :wizard:

That must be why they assisted the Qunari!

Varric's bizarre weaponsexuality causes him to remove all references to dwarven women from his stories. They love the chest hair, but he denies them. Thus he can't be bothered to mention them to Cassandra.

Syllogi speaks the truth. It all comes back to Bianca.

Female dwarves weren't in the game because there was no story to be told with them in DA2.

Wow.... this is just absurd.

First off, everything Yrkoon stated is true.

Secondly, it adds to the city feeling like a city.

Third, we know that various Dwarven clans of renown live in Kirkwall, the Tethras clan being one of them. You think that all of those clans are comprised of male Dwarves?

No story my ass. The story is about Kirkwall. Female Dwarves are part of the story, because they live there.

This is like saying a city full of life is garbage and has no place in any game.

So did Orsino. Doesn't change the fact that it was deliberate in Fenris' and most others' case, not just because they couldn't be arsed to design shoes for elves.

Recalled to Orzammar for an emergency post-blight population boosting mating festival. This is also why Oghren isn't around.

In that case,  fear for Orzammar's future.

I can picture this conversation before the end of Act 2....

Elf:  We will gladly submit to the Qun Arishok. We not only want to find our path but we have learned you let your Videthari wear shoes

Arishok: One simply cannot find their path in bare feet elf.  We educate this city and our gift for your journey will be letting you wear the shoes of your opressors.

I seem to recall David Gaider mentioning he wanted shoes though.

Exactly and it makes sense because there were male dwarves walking around in the game.
