Okay, so after Riordan tells you someone has to die to kill the Archdemon, Morrigan offers to perform a ritual. I skipped it the first time, but Im curious how it effects game play.

If you accept her offer then Morrigan sticks around to help in the final battle. I'd suggest using one of your auto-saves just prior to talking to Morrigan, accepting her offer and see how things pan out. Without spoiling the ending any further, suffice it to say that her offer has as much impact in the ending of the game as the Landsmeet climax (i.e. a lot).
