Just wondering who is still playing it now its been out for awhile. Is it a game you go back to every now and then or a game you pop in just to relax? If so do you like it more now that you've had time to calm down?
I hadnt played it in awhile and i've been playing Dark Souls atm and wanted a break from dying. I popped DA2 in, i really didnt like the game when it first came out but now i think i like it less. I got more annoyed at how generic it was and just how average it is. I thought since i hadn't played it in awhile and had time to calm down from my initial thoughts that i would enjoy it more but i really didnt.
Still playing DA2?

I play it (and DAO) every now and then. I didn't have to "calm down", I enjoyed it from the beginning.

I want to play it again, but I don't have any Origins saves to import from, and I really want to import this time (I just used the defaults last time because I wasn't happy with any of my saves). Which means I have to play through Origins.
And that's like Irenicus' dungeon times a million. It just sits there, staring at you, challenging you to start a new game. And after ME3 took away from me the desire to play any games, I just couldn't get back into it. I tried several times but just never got all the way there.
Now that Diablo III is out, it will have to wait. I may not even play any DA games this year.

I uninstalled it a year ago. Playing it after calm down isn't going to change anything. I have given the game enough playthroughs to think what it mean to me. Hawke is not my character. DA 2 is not about my story. And I don't have an actual role to play. it meaningless. it's better for me to entertain myself with other games like Skyrim, strategy games and other hobby.

I was frustrated by DA2 only mildly for the laundry list of typical DA2 complaints.
My own personal problem with DA2 was the amount of things they dangled in front of you story-wise, specifically about Kirkwall and its surrounding areas, that weren't used or capitalized at all.
It seemed like at every turn and opportunity, a Codex entry or load screen or random bit of dialogue would seem to indicate something MORE about the game we were in... The Enigma of Kirkwall, the stories of Sundermount having unknown power and purpose, the Eluvian, Kirkwall being built in the shape of strange spell forms, the Grey Wardens showing up and stating they had important business in the area...
I really thought they were building up towards something, something bigger and more amazing than what was on the surface. I got through my first playthrough going constantly "okay... now let's get to the good stuff! These hints are killing me." I was excited towards the end of Act 2, when I saw things with the Qunari taking an interesting turn, but just as soon as the interest got going, it ended. And then Act 3 started and I saw where the ending was heading and thought... "WHAT? That can't be the end of things."
And sure enough, it was. No larger plot, no bigger mystery, no deeper story... just Mage vs. Templar. Just a Right of Annulment choice, which was almost a side quest in DA:O, is now the apparent full-blown climax of DA2.
Its only when the failed utilization of otherwise really interesting plot points happened that I got frustrated. All the other stuff: lack of choice, mindless combat, poorly costumed recycled environments, Anders... all that stuff was annoyances I was dealing with to get to the part of the game that was going to really good... except it didn't happen. It was completely ignored. And then all the minor annoyances weren't annoyances... they were THE GAME. That's it. No narrative plot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Second playthrough was more for myself, to prove I could do it. I had the Game Guide I had been given for pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition and could tell that there was nothing new to be had with a different class, other than a slightly different button mashing combat technique. The romances didn't really interest me because Isabella was my LI the first time (as a romance, profoundly boring) and, while I liked Merril as a character, as an object of desire she was pretty hideous, given the "sack of bones" appearance all elves had in DA2. I don't normally like skinny in real women... and elves in DA2 were full on starving, malnourished, third-world country looking. And I didn't feel like doing any males romances as a female Hawke because Fenris seemed entirely too sulky to even halfway enjoy the dialogue and Anders wasn't exactly a ray of sunshine, either.
I got through my second playthrough and did not feel any better about any part of the game. Mostly because it was exactly the same as my first playthrough, despite playing a Paragon male mage the first time and a snarky female rogue the second. I had no desire to play an aggressive character, since all of the aggressive dialogue lines I choose in my two playthroughs were nothing but pompous and stupid.
I tried a third playthrough, months later. And found no reason to get past Act 1, simply because I dreaded another long, tedious encounter with the Arishok. And I would never do a playthrough that requires me losing my best DPS dealer while at the same time giving the smug SOB the satisfaction of buying me off when I knew I could take him down... if I had twenty minutes of kiting and potion chugging in me.
So no... time has not helped DA2 for me.

Yep. Still play it, but not as often as I used to. I've been making my rounds through ME3. I admit that while I like the game, it had way too many short comings, but it is so much easier to play (and enjoy) a flawed game like Dragon Age 2 than it is to slog through DA:O. DA:O may be a better game, but once I hit the Deep Roads or the Fade I wake up six hours later on my computer room floor.
The best analogy I can make is Highlander vs. The Lord of the Rings. TLotR is a MUCH better movie than Highlander, but its length beats viewers into submission. Highlander is a fun hour and a half, even with the amount of corny bits, but the parts I dislike are breezed through quickly. The parts I dislike in tLotR and DA:O form a wall I just can't climb.

Just finished my 6th complete play through a week ago, my first actual one for importing since the game is done with content. The game is much better complete with Exiled Prince/Legacy/Mark of the Assassin. Great DLCs. Had to go back to Origins to make more wardens for import variety for DA3. Assuming they hash that out.

The importing of saves produces way too many bugs IMHO. I'm hoping they either 1) do away with saves all together since this is not a series like Mass Effect, based on ONE character, or 2) just give us a flag menu or interactive comic -- like ME2 -- that allows us to customize games at our whim. We paid for it, why should we have to play through two other games to see all the possibilities?

I know, I was leaning towards. Should they hash it out cleanly, like they hinted at trying something new with it. At this point I'd be ok with the flag menu or comic, but the comic could get really long. I'm also curious about the non-playable way of ending Hawke's story the devs mentioned as well.

I finished my first playthrough not that long ago and haven't really picked it up since. I have been playing some more of Origins though.
I thought I'd play it more than once but DA2 doesn't really have much of a replay value for me, since it seems like it's mostly the same in every playthrough. Plus with the reused environments I felt like I had already played it a bunch of times by act 3.

Nope, I put 200+ hours into this game, done it all, solo, team, all dialogue options, all quests, all DLC's maxed out gear etc. I am playing Starcraft 2 now.

No, sold it a while ago since i couldn't bear myself to play past the deep roads. Ended up reading a fanfic instead to know what happen in the game story-wise after the deep roads. However, i have started another playthrough of DA:O and am really enjoying playing as a Dalish, only played mage, noble and city elf before.

Yes, I regularly play it. It's not the100+ hour game that DA:O was, you can get into the action a lot easier, and I like the characters more in DA2.

I'm still playing DA:O and DA2. DA:O especially has so many origin backgrounds to choose from so replayability becomes higher. DA2 once you get past the things that annoy you it isn't a bad game.

I still occasionally play my PC copy of Origins. Haven't touched my console version since Witch Hunt came out and I finished my canon. I'm a console player but the toolset and mods and the fact that Origins was made for the PC originally make the PC version so much better to play.
After they announced that DA2 was all done I went back and did my canon playthrough. Not as bad as I remembered but no where near as good either.

Recently finished a playthrough I made to get all remaining achievements on my Xbox 360 version. But I won't be playing it again until a week or so before DA3 comes out just to do my ultimate cannon playthrough ready to import over and to refresh my memory of the story so far/lore.

No DA2. Origins reminds me of itself frequently, and that in a very positive way, so I do run some saves there once in a while.
