I respect your skill, sir, but this is surprisingly absurd. You're running with a Talon X and dealing more than half of your damage with it while talking about the other skills. You aren't stunlocking anyone with Singularity (because it doesn't stunlock), you're just shooting them with a weapon that deals as much damage as a Mantis X sniper rifle (and you add level 3 pistol mod on top of that). Then you tell people to use a Scimitar, which deals exactly 40 damage against armor! Even with a Shredder mod, it loses 40% of its already-underwhelming damage! Sweet Jesus, man!

By those rights Tactical Cloak is the worst ability in game because all your kills come from that Krysae or Widow...

And it's funny how he claims all the damage/kills comes from my weapon when I've got 50 + Biotic kills and 25 + Pistol kills.

I haven't even finished the video yet lol, talk about spoiling the ending hah!

You obviously invested countless hours into playing the Human Adept since you know for a fact that Singularity doesn't stunlock shielded enemies!.. Wonder how I'm able to do it every single time if it doesn't do that .. :/ Hmm. Must be my game.

Just went through this same thing in another thread, and I did just spend hours testing every opponent type. It stunlocks no-one. Geth are worst, since their shielded enemies will absolutely DESTROY you.

When I figure out why FRAPS isn't working, I'll post a video demonstrating it.

Wrong.  If they hit the black core of the singularity, it will stun lock regular mobs.  They just kinda stand still and derp out.

EDIT:  And what's wrong with using guns?  Every non infiltrator I run runs with a Talon V.  It's wonderful backup damage.

You do that. I'll keep stunlocking Marauders and Centurions without any issues.

That's pretty much how I play. Except I go 6/6/5/6/3, choose detonate for Warp and Singularity, and only evolve Shockwave to rank 5. Strongest biotic explosions ever.

Explosions would be stronger if you took Shockwave to Rank 6.  The strength of a Biotic Explosion is determined by the ranks of the two powers used to create it.

And the Human Adept may have the strongest Biotic Explosions in the game, but Singularity is still a bad power.  And the Human Adept is only good on tight maps like Glacier.

Oops... forgot about that.
Time to respec... again....

I disagree. The only reason this is done on Glacier is because that was what my Private Match was set for. Played Ghost prior to playing Glacier and my computer overheated before the game was over. Depending on your playstyle I could agree, but if you like to be close to the enemy map doesn't matter with the Human Adept.

I think you made a mistake in the build link with Rank 4 Warp (damage instead of detonate).

People hate the human adept? I'll admit that it is not my favorite class on ME3MP but its not a bad class at all. Of the Adepts though the original Asari is my favorite and the Asari Justicar is by far the worst Adept in my opinion.

Okay. Actual response time.

I went into this thread rolling my eyes. I used to run a human Adept when ME3 first came out and I had trouble with even Bronze. But that can be chalked up to being a bad player. Anyway, watched your video and thought about it. My favroite playstyles are up close and personal. Drell Grenade spam, Geth Melee, Smashguard's...smashing, etc. So I figured hell, I'll give the human Adept another go.

Well..Singularity still needs a buff to it. Maybe change the Damage" rank 5 to works on shielded enemies like lash. But overall, I actually had a hell of a lot of fun. Have to admit, very satisfying to run up a brute and Shockwave Bomb it's skull in.

Nice. I also enjoy the human adept. I have a quick question re: build.

Do you find pierce and lifting shockwave very useful? I use recharge speed there, because I usually use a heavier weapon (Claymore, Graal, Wraith, Harrier). Also, do you ever notice the lifting damage of singularity, or do you think recharge speed is a viable alternative?

Thanks

Pierce is pretty much mandatory, lifting is not. I myself go with recharge on Shockwave. As for Singularity's Lifting Damage I once killed 2 husks, 2 Canniballs and again 2 husks just by leaving it in one place and relocating. If your teammates are good at killing stuff efficiently you won't get much out of Lift Damage. I could see Recharge Speed making sense with heavier weapons though as it would shave off more than 0.17s.

How necessary is Singularity Rank 6?

I ask because pretty much anything that gets lifted by Singularity is going to die from the following biotic explosion regardless of how you rank it...

If you don't mind, why do you feel pierce is necessary?  If I'm using a high damage weapon, armor piercing ammo or mods, or a weapon that ignores armor dr like the Graal, then it really only adds 50% damage to warp against armor and barriers, right?  Warp does ~350 damage.  I've heard it has a 1.5 multiplier, so that gives it 525 damage, or 787.5 damage with pierce.  My thought process was that I'd rather have ~.4 second less recharge (with Graal) then 250 extra damage.  Is this where we disagree, or am I missing something?

Thanks

I like the Justicar the most, out of the adepts, because she is not too power depedent. In other words, I can actually use my weapon in par with the biotics. To me, it offers varation from the usual attack sequence of most adepts and thats why I enjoy it.

I would like to play the human adept again but don't enjoy the idea of being so fragile (Three-shotted by a phantom). Well, I guess that's what the shield module is for. :)

Why use Singularity if you can Warp instead (and Throw after)? (AA)

Singularity may work Ok on Bronze, where most of your enemies are unshielded. On Gold when 4 phantoms spawn next to you, you need a better power to go ahead with. In short (HA vs AA):

- Singularity's DOT does marginal damage compared to Warp - your targets should die way before that damage is anywhere sensible.
- Singularity is a weak defensive ability compared to Throw. (especially when you spec the latter into 50% more force and +200 damage instead of .2 sec cooldown)
- Both lvl6 evolutions of Singularity are of no use: your field never dies on its own, because you detonate way earlier, and by the same reason it won't have time to grow up. But you HAVE to have it for the sake of stronger explosions.
- Singularity (even lvl6) + any other ability to detonate it does less damage in smaller radius compared to Warp+Throw specced into it.
- Singularity in incapable of setting up combos on anything with armor (i.e. on all big mobs and pyros). Warp+Shockwave? It doesn't work in distance.
- Can Singularity or Shockwave freeze several phantoms and prepare them for detonation at the same time? Statis can.

There must be many more examples like these. So, can you play Human Adept? Yes, we all can. Can you do better for the team with Asari? Yes, you can. You choose.

Yes, it's cool to use all the classes for the sake of variety sometimes, but if you need to choose a biotic to perform in a team, Human Adept is a weak choice, imo.

I can see two possibilities:

- it could be the case that cooldown of
Warp doesn't fit into gun's shoot-recharge cycle, so it doesn't matter if it's 0.4 faster, i.e. you will anyways be realoading during that 0.4 sec
or
- since there is no way with this class/buid to detonate any armored unit further than 10m away from you (because Shockwave doesn't reach further), so this added damage is required to do at least anything with these mobs. (besides just shooting them, what other classes do better anyway)

Something like that

Number of kills is not the same as amount of damage. If you use your gun to leave one bar on a target and finish it with a tick of Singularity - you will get a biotic kill, even though 95% of damage were done with guns. How much biotic damage did you do to Banshees?

(by the way, that value could be not as hillariously low as I could've expected, as I just watched the video - you are damn lucky not to get grabbed for insta kill plenty of times during that run - with that sort of range you leave in between Banshee and yourself I would have ended up in their hands mostly every single round)

I think calling it the Best Adept is overkill, each of the Adepts has something they bring to the table. The HA as you've shown can be a close-range glass cannon, the AA can still spam death from across the map and lock down a choke point, the DA still has the highest burst damage potential of them all and he synergizes well with the other Adepts thanks to Reave. AJA is great support class who can tank a hit and with proper use of her bubble absolutely destroy enemies in a choke point. As for the PA I have yet to acquire him so I can't say much other than that his powers look cool.

Well this covers two things I have have kind of written off to some extent: The human Adept and the Scimitar shotgun.
I would have liked that shotgun actually showcased in the video though (along with less equipment so you can get a true feel for the class). Good stuff I'll have to try out although I'm waaaaaay far behind you when it comes to gear, Bit too heavy on dealing weapon damage though for my taste.

I like your videos, but I'd honestly like to see the use of some more... accessible weapons.
Wondering if a Deciple would be a good substitute seeing as how I don't have much in general that I could use for decent damage and good cool down right now unless ultralight was finally fixed.

Precisely. He is using biotics as finishers after shooting them with the Talon. In fact, that Talon is 702.6 base damage, with 10% bonus from Alliance Training, 25% from the barrel, and 30% from the consumable. It's doing as much damage per shot as his biotic detonations are doing, and he can unload that thing at 75 rounds per minute. No matter how you slice it, with a weapon like that, your damage output is going to look wonderful.

Re: Singularity, did two quick runs (one Geth, one Cerberus) to grab a bit of footage for how it doesn't work out like advocates claim. It was actually better at stunlocking this time than it usually is, which says enough. It is possible that the framerate decrease from recording actually assists in stunlocking, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The Scimitar has about half the DPS of the Talon -- against shields, more than half, against armor, less than half. The Disciple has slightly lower DPS against shields than the Scimitar and is slightly less awful against armor, making it probably a more solid choice overall, though the small clip leaves a bit to be desired.
