We haven't had very dark skin tones because the Eclipse engine doesn't render them well. Once you try anything much darker than Isabela, the skin renders as very blotchy and unpleasant-looking. Ideally this is something we can fix.- David Gaider
Isabela is right on the border of being too dark for the Eclipse engine to handle properly. Someone who is running DA2 might have expierence some blotches.
You didn't need to do that. I'm aware of that exact quote, which is from the color blind casting thread from a few weeks back, and I referred back to it when I made that post. I think my point stands.
Isabela is handled fine. Bioware obviously thought so. And unmodded, she will look the same to everyone. If someone takes issue with her skin color... It's because of the color, not the texture or the "blotches" that you're so fixated on. Yeah.
Regardless, Isabela is clearly not white. Your hypothetical person is still "fixing" her by whitewashing her. Which is their right - people can mod however they like. But when they proudly proclaim it on the forums, they shouldn't be surprised when any person with a brain and a bit of empathy and social awareness calls them on their racism.
