So we can talk all we want about whether one is technically "equally racist" to the other in a vacuum of cultural realities, but the one that's really the more hurtful racism is the one that justifies Jim Crow, not the one that upsets white people.

She is displaying a double standard though. How is making Aveline dark not the same as making Isabela pale?

Yes, she is very wrong, because according to her, a fair skin to dark skin mod is acceptable in her eyes, but the opposite is "disgusting and racist."

I think we can agree that modding Isabela to make her paler isn't racist in and of itself (people are always modding the appearance of characters to suit their personal tastes), but the modder's description, making it out that Isabela's swarthy skin was a flaw that needed correcting and was objectively unattractive, makes him racist, or at the very least an unpleasant person. Thinking  that being blond and having blue eyes is "a whole new kind of beautiful" that darker people cannot hope to match is a bit shallow, to say the least.

I like it , her features are more defined. Then again having seen a clip of Cortez that was just black with eyes and seen how the contrast differences between the PS3 and 360 are very different on the same TV settings it's probably the engine.

I like how she looks either way. It's not a big deal. A little lighter or a little darker. I would just want to get them dark circles out from under her eyes! XD
