If you honestly score 20k or less, you shouldn't be in silver.

Why not? If you help out your team and do your part I don't see any problems with a low score. Score is not important. A player with 20 k in score might have been doing a lot of revives and objectives etc.

99% of the time in games I have been in, they haven't been doing objectives. Revives is honestly a poor excuse for having that low of a score. You shouldn't be getting killed so often in the first place.

They just lollygag and do nothing the entire game, so I votekick them.

Yeah you quick to judge the low level players, i'm a silver player and have played with top score N7's and to be honest a lot of them today were crap, hopeless, stupid and above all pathetic in my book. I have played alongside low N7 and had one on my team and she was brilliant, reading this forum makes me think that some of you think your god, I don't think so.

N7 means nothing except that you have had to much spare time. Do you really think that N7-rating equals skill?

Sorry, didn't mean for it to come off that way. All I was saying was that a lot of the more inexperienced people are playing on Silver because of the challenge and thus there's an influx in the complaining silver players about these other players. I agree, there would be no way of telling and I'll stop. Once again, I apologize.

Also, guys, I have quite a low N7 level, so it;s also poor to assume that mine is godly. I'm just a bit dissapointed in the decisions that some players are making. If you're inexperienced, read a tutorial and a couple guides, don't go into a game and rage when your teammates don't help out.

A great and very diplomatic reply buddy! Image IPB

You can't generalize like that. I do agree that there are probably more score-oriented lone wolfs on bronze and silver, simply because you can get away with more there. But you can't go from that to saying that goes for every bronze and silver player, not even the majority.

Like dumdum2 said, N7 doesn't matter at all. I've seen players with N7 ratings of 1000+ not contributing to the team at all. I've also seen players with N7 ratings below 50 being completely awesome and scoring extremely well.

Really? I never votekick unless I have to get a friend into the game. I say let them play, votekicking should be forbidden when playing with public settings!

What is it with you people? I'm not saying anything, I'm asking. It's a distinct difference that most on this forum can't seem to comprehend. If there is a question mark after my sentence, that means that I restrain myself from making any kind of personal statement in the subject until I've got some answers first.

The irony in this post is hilarious. So you wouldn't kick an obnoxious moron who does nothing and sits in a corner all game, but would kick someone to invite a friend in? Or someone who has scored 5k points and died 50 times?

Yes, you are asking a question (in between a lot of self boasting and condecending comments), and I am answering it.

oh how i love the logic of multiplayer games like mass effect 3, okay so someone doesn't make 20,000 points in a match, so you votekick them because they aren't good enough, consider this, you're an infiltrator in a match with vanguards, so you think "Okay I'll just do what I normally do, objectives and sniper kills." but oh look as you aim even to quick scope, people use biotic charge, so your score is lower than, say, 10,000 at the end of the match, then you're not as good as how you proclaim yourself to be in the first place. Also, since when did N7 levels even matter? If you think an N7 number means people are the best, you're wrong, I was an N7 level 150 during the last N7 operation, I revived a level 2,000+ N7 level person like 10 times in one wave alone, so if you think skill is what decides the best skill, you must not be a Mass Effect veteran, just my opinion of course

As I always say - Talk to the hand, the ears are not listening.

I moved from bronze to silver a month ago. I found it less challenging. I hold lobby's Public/Private. If I am holding a private one and I only have 3 in the team, I switch to public. If the person has only played a few games, he/she is more than welcome. I personally think if they want to try to have a go at a challenge for a pack, let them. I don't mind helping out either way. I have done quite a few today, they have even had the guts to tell me over the mic, they only normally play bronze, who cares? It's a game, nothing more nothing less.

Since when would a vanguard outscore an infiltrator on silver or gold these days? No honestly, I want to know.

i use the Kishok Harpoon Gun 1 (I can't get upgrades for that gun to save my live) and a quarian infiltrator, i mainly stay back from the front lines and do what needs to be done, or I do the objectives where I'd have to activate the 4 marked things that are around the map (kinda out of it i don't remember it right now lol) and I revive people with tactical cloak on, etc. I also do the charge + tactical cloak combo with my harpoon gun

There are many reasons for why people are quitting. Real life committments, wanting to spend some time buying packs and changing gear, changing character, feeling they were carried, making lunch, taking a break, reading on forums... Unless someone says something over the mic, we should be careful assuming they rage quit or quit due to lack of points.

I was just thinking about what WandererRTF wrote in this thread earlier:

"Also earlier today i had 'wonderful' surprise of apparently goldmonger dropping into the same silver lobby i was in. Never had a worse game, sure we got full extraction and all but after seeing just one infiltrator running around & Reegaring/Krysaeing all the things it does not fill me with great wonder that people would quit from such a game. It is not fun, it is not even enjoyable. Instead of gold players going in full rage mode perhaps they could, you known, be team players?"

I figured that he might have spoken the truth about bronze and silver players not being team players but instead they only really have fun when they kill a lot of stuff and get even in the scoreboard?

That's not necessarily true.  Someone who normally plays gold invited me to a match.  I told them I only really feel comfortable in Silver.  They were fine with that, and they invited another gold friend (and we had a random).

They were both AA and basically 1 set up- and the other detonated biotics.

It wasn't fun for me because I felt like I didn't need to even be there.  I didn't feel like part of a team.  They were great players, with great symmetry and I guess I felt extraneous.  Image IPB

In the single Silver match I played for Mastiff I was a bit surprised by how fast a coupla level 20s with high level weapons were going down over and over even as my Vorcha Sentinel kinda just blundered about lazily not caring in the least about gunfire.  They didn't seem to care to ever use anything resembling a consumable either.  Really though, I have no perspective as to whether such results are common since I haven't really played anything other than Gold since day 2 or so.

If they just sit in a corner and do nothing then the game is going to kick them due to the new AFK-kicking system. And yes, I rather play with my friends so that's the only time when I votekick someone. I do always send a message to the kicked person about the reason though so they know that we didn't kick them because they were bad or anything like that.

Say what? I outscore Infiltrators on gold with my Novaguard or my Kroguard most of the times. Fact is that it's really hard for Infiltrators to aim and get kills while you are charging everything, especially if there's a biotic in the team who sets up reave or warp on targets.

Sorry you feel that way, I've had a few players like you in my team who wanted to leave because they felt more like a burden and that they couldn't contribute to the team. You got to realize that if they want you to play with them then they don't care about your score and such, they want you there because they play for fun and wants you to be a part of that. Image IPB

Also, if you play with those players a lot you will improve yourself until you feel like you can do pretty much whatever you want on gold, you'll also get credits faster so you can get better weapons and such.

Ah, the BSN ME3 MP community always need something to hate. This week there seems to be an increase in hate towards the so-called "Bronze players".

I think it's high time that I too start a thread where I whine and cry over "those stupid players ruining my life!"

PS. What exactly is a Bronze player? How do you know whether a player is a Bronze player or a Silver player? When will you stop playing that OP Krogan Vanguard Sniper with a Reegar!?
