On the other hand, this is from the same guy who leaked the Rebellion pack (and not the same guy who 'leaked' the so-called 'truth DLC').
Plus, all of this sounds perfectly plausible. No company would want to draw attention to the fact that they basically let down a lot of their fans, and releasing the EC as part of a larger free bundle helps take some attention off it - I'm personally grateful that they're doing it at all, so I'm not fussed if they don't want to minimise the attention drawn to it by adding extra stuff with it.
The new maps all sound perfectly plausible too. I remember one 'leak' where the rumours were that one map would take place on a Collector ship and Javik could be brought along. That sounded ridiculous. However, a set of maps focused on Earth and a set of new human characters is perfectly in keeping with a DLC set designed around the EC - its basically a whole pack focused around Earth.
So I'm actually inclined to believe this. It all sounds perfectly believable, and it makes sense from Bioware's point of view to do it this way.
At any rate, we'll know within the next couple of months whether this guy got it right again.
Edit:
There's a topic on the Bioware forums where someone is thinking that I meant that these are coming out at the same time. I did not say that. Also, I'm not the same person that leaked the screenshot of the first DLC, nor was I the one who posted the "Truth" DLC hoax.
I still reckon it makes sense for Bioware to release it as one pack. The title Earth fits pretty well with both the MP stuff and the EC, but now it seems even more plausible - another MP pack, bigger than the last ones (3 maps instead of 2), and the EC, to hopefully placate the fanbse for long enough to Bioware to pick up where they left off on the SP DLC development.
