Extended Cut : I already gave up on that as it will not fix the abysmal ending only "polish that turd a little".

New maps and guns for MP : Sounds nice but MP is getting really stale as it is and i doubt more maps will change it what they should do is a new gameplay mode or something. Hopefully MP will not die away completely before it is released.

That's a good sign in terms of the direction of the extended cut, even if people are already assuming that's what they're doing.

You think so? For me the epilogue was insulting, and heartbreaking, as the ending was. Expanding on these is like this:



And I don't need Bioware to show me the impact of Shepard's choices because there is NO need for that. Everything is quite obvious, and I don't like it. (THATS THE PROBLEM WITH THE ENDING)

No, I never asked for this. I can use my imagination to see the consequences of my choices, but I never liked what I saw, thats why I would prefer completly new endings and EC is just a waste of time and ressources.

My hopes for the EC are high, and yet my expectations are very low. I hope it is so well written and well made that it not only covers over all of the plot holes, confusion, and stupidity, but it works in the endings we had (along with the Starbrat) in a way that actually improves the ending to the point of acceptability.

However, I'm expecting a lackluster epilogue, some questions I can ask the starchild, and most of the problems to stay intact, if not slightly worsened. You can put glitter on a horrifying wound, yet it doesn't hurt any less.

Making up losses is still considered a loss. Making it back with MP doesn't mean anything. A SURPLUS is what they want.

This isn't a difficult concept to figure out.

Yes, more profit is always the most desirable outcome, but with the EC what they are doing is weighing their immediate losses (from producing the EC) with the possible losses they will incur should they allow the ending to stand as it is.

From a consumer's point of view, this is the time and the money they should have spent on the ending in the first place.

They may not have had that time. That's the issue.

They are losing money on this, regardless of what people say.

Hiring voice actors only furthers the idea in my head that they really ARE trying.
