Reapers have magnet arms. The Geth have their stun-lock. But the number of units that can stun you is irritating though.

1) I'm AV with reegar III (died in the last second because 2 primes were focusing me without paying attention to others)
2) Infiltrator with BW I
3) Engineer with Krysae X
4) Engineer with some sniper rifle, didn't paid attention to it

he can't shoot you around the cover unless you weren't it cover at the moment he started shooting (and even then, you seem to have been in a soft cover)

The weird part is that phenoms (a title granted without actually seeing YOU play) expect everyone to work their way up to that level in silence or quit.  If YOU can do it, everyone else can.  Except, of course, that not everybody becomes a phenom before they get bored with dying.  That's where the silence you expect is broken.

Learn to expect people who were doing OK with a game to complain about it being made harder.  Life is full of those moments, and complaining *is*  OK, no matter what you were told...

Now you're just talking out your ass.

Label me all you want (my favorite is "elitist"), I'm not forcing you to do anything. The people who are not skilled or experienced enough for gold? Find yourself dying too often? Frustrated, and just want to pulverize everything with half as much effort? Wellp...

There's bronze/silver for a reason. Not sure why you just completely ignore that.

Lastly... I recommend brushing up on guides/tacics/videos if you're really that challenged. Time better spent than asking for it to be made easier.

Not sure why people complain or argue over video games with such spite in the first place, but hey.

The thing is... you seem to be confusing people who don't like playing against Geth or get frustrated by the cheapness that is... Geth, for people who can't play on Gold.

On the contrary. I demolish Gold, eat it for breakfast and solo Gold in the late hours of the night when I am practically hallucinating from lack of sleep.

Doesn't matter... because I still think the Geth are cheap, annoying and unplayable without more frustration than should even be considered "fun" or "challenging" anymore.

Random/Reaper/Gold is fun, challenging and WAYYYYYYYYY less frustrating that Geth on any map outside of White/Glacier.

I've gone back and forth on this. It's a lot harder to go up against them as an Adept or Vanguard

Actually, Geth are incredibly easy when you have a good Human Vanguard on your team. He'll get their attention and you can kill them one by one without too much trouble. The Vanguard has to be really good though.

That is...interesting. I must rarely have good Human Vanguards on my teams, then, because I've never experienced this (not that I don't believe you).

I'm referring to what the post I had replied to said.

If I understand correctly, he/she doesn't play on gold at all, and will quit if it's silver and geth/reaper. You seem to not have read the full conversation quite thoroughly enough, as it was only mentioned in passing.

Pretty sure I'm just getting flamed for not wanting the game to be easier on the hardest difficulty. Nothing more, nothing less.

And on a side-note, it's all well and good but you must consider when saying something like "gold is easy, but geth gold is an exercise in frustration" that it's simply a personal argument. One that is likely to be in most cases agreed with (geth are annoying), but there are plenty who find reaper gold, or even cerberus gold harder, cheaper, etc.

He still shouldn't be able to fire the Geth Pulse Cannon in the opposite direction he's facing. That is just cheap and stupid.

Also, I've definitely shot from cover (hard cover, leaning into the wall) and then released the aim trigger when I heard the pulse cannon go off, and the shot has still hit me. Didn't stun, but the first shot hit.

Reapers are the easiest faction at the moment, the worse that can happen is a Banshee grab you from very far (yesterday one that was in the center of the tower on Dagger grabbed my Krogan that was arriving at the tower). When Cerberus puts 4 to 6 Phantoms at the same time on the field with their palm cannons of death you can wonder if they're exaggerating. But both are fun.

The Geth, with stunlocks and intangible Hunters and long range Pyros and that one strategy of running over you with a ton of units, they are just annoying. You can't even put your face out of cover for a second without getting shot in the face with rockets and plasma cannon rounds. And if you enter cover just before a rocket or a stream of plasma hits you, the lag does you the favor of getting you out of cover to properly die. Thinking well about it, what I find more aggravating about the Geth are their stunlocks.

If you prepare for them, they are easy enough (all tech team). Otherwise I honestly do dread them, which is why I often specify an enemy when I host.

Novaguards do very well against them, lag permitting, and Poenix adepts are surprisingly good  too. I havent unlocked the Phoenix vanguard yet, but I imagine he too would fare rather well. But yeah, they aren't the walk in the park they used to be, even on silver. One bug I have only noticed on gold as of yet, is that stasis doesn't seem to work on even the regular troopers... They ignored it completely.
I won't take my AA or AV against geth anymore. I do care about them

Had a host quit on Dagger silver Geth earlier because of the hack objective on the platform at the end of the long hall... Hunters and Rocket troopers insta spawning/shooting right down the friggin ramp. Kill one, get shot by the next spawn like it was sneaking up behind you all along.

Yeah... the title. BioWare I'm sick and ****ing tired of Geth Rocket Troopers having instant rocket lock-on from across a ****ing map. As soon as they spawn. Yeah, it's not uncommon to see 3-4 rockets flying towards my face as soon as a wave starts. Dodge you say? HAHAHAHAHA yeah.... go ahead try to dodge, that's less than 50% chance of success. Even for a good player.

You've buffed and buffed the Geth into the most powerful enemy now. Reapers? Pfftt anytime, anywhere. Geth?
F*** that s***! Hydra? Heck no! Between the Rocket Troopers and Primes nailing you from literally every part of the map it becomes a long range battle of undodgable bull****. Condor? Yeah right! Ever had a Rocket Troop nail you twice in a row by shooting a rocket between the gap of those cover pieces called fortifications?

Seriously, this is beyond frustrating. Not to mention the Hunter/Prime stagger against Krogans, Turians, and Batarians. Who are supposed to be our heavy troops and end up being our... well little chain-stunned sissies.

Seriously, I can't even stand playing against the Geth anymore.

Comments? Thoughts from BSN?

BTW - This is coming from a Gold difficulty standpoint, to which all of the Geth Grievances are thrice fold of any other difficulty. But if you feel they are difficult on other difficulties that's fine too.

I cannot possibly agree with you more.

Moving at any point during a Geth match is nigh impossible.

If anything, you forgot to mention the super awesome scenarios when a Geth Rocket trooper decides to fire 2 missles at once, when they shoot rockets while they are staggered, when they shoot the instant you leave cover so that if you walk out or even lean out, you're getting hit.

And who could forget random rockets fired when you're cloaked, that of course home right in on you?

Fun times. Assuming frustration and BULL **** is fun.

If they're converging on your position, find the nearest cover with some vertical height (up to your head) and strafe left and right. Not only will you avoid taking damage from most if not all shots, they will waste time tracking and firing at you behind the wall, giving your three teammates a chance to counterattack.

There. The geth's accuracy, reaction speed, and stunlock all mitigated. On any class.

Hunters/pyros get close? Grab them.

Hunters/pyros flanking you? Find the position that is easiest covered and start there each wave. Might be a good idea to designate checkpoints to retreat to given a certain signal.

Wave 10/11, getting swarmed by everythings, locked down by geth turrets? You can bring up to 20 missiles between four people... only use them on objective waves to get a faster completion and credit bonus and 10/11 for those tight spots and you will not run out.

Tactics, people. Soldiers don't just go onto the battlefield and complain about how OP everything is.

Maybe FBWGG just put it in everyone's head that camping in the same cover 90% of the match = win?

I do´nt think the Geth are too hard, but they are so glitchy it´s really frustrating. Shoot and move, never stop in one place for longer then it takes to shoot and move again seems to be the key.
But all tactics gets blown out the window when the enemy group you flank is not there when come around, when a new Prime spawns instantly when one falls, shoot 2 pyros, look behind you, and 2 new pyros has spawned in front of you. They come out of the walls, the room/area is clear, 1 sec later there they are.
I allways play as host, bronze or silver, random map and enemy. New players every time is fun, but against the Geth.. As they are now with all "bugs", I Hate them!! Still, they are not that hard to beat.

A thread with you emotionally complaining about something? That is just so unlike you!

They're a little bit more challenging but guess what...  That's the game.  They are still easily beatable though and just require a little more tact.

If it's too challenging for you maybe you should play silver until you adapt to them a bit better.   Or just practice.  You'll get better with time.  But they really aren't all that bad at all.

Go play against Geth on Gold and then come back. Nothing is hard or even a challenge on Bronze or Silver.

By "tact" you mean to go stunlock their asses with Overload spam?

Geth are not challenging at all. They are incredibly dull and boring to play. The vast majority of classes can do nothing but camp somewhere to avoid their lame stunlock death traps. Playing Cerb or Reapers allow a wide variety of different tactics and nearly all classes can do really well against em - which is great for replayability. I wish the same were true with the Geth, but unfortunately it isn't.

It's only the stun locks that really bother me, it gives certain races a HUGE disadvantage.

That and rocket troopers, but that's just because big hits screw up vorcha health regeneration.

The most annoying thing about Geth Rocket troopers is the "wall shot". They shoot a rocket that will hit a wall, but instead of detonating on impact, it's drifts against the wall for about 20 seconds, THEN it detonates, and somehow causes damage to you even when you're standing 20 yards away.

nothing says BS when a Rocket trooper turn on their full auto rocket launchers.

1 for your shields
1 for your health
1 to down you.
