Yeah... the title. BioWare I'm sick and ****ing tired of Geth Rocket Troopers having instant rocket lock-on from across a ****ing map. As soon as they spawn. Yeah, it's not uncommon to see 3-4 rockets flying towards my face as soon as a wave starts. Dodge you say? HAHAHAHAHA yeah.... go ahead try to dodge, that's less than 50% chance of success. Even for a good player.

I'm not a good player, but when I dodge geth rockets fired from across the map I succeed nearly 100% of the time.  Sounds like you might just need to work on your timing or situational awareness.

Maybe you have "dodge" confused with "standing there shooting my weapon"...

You've buffed and buffed the Geth into the most powerful enemy now.

This is purely a matter of opinion.  I actually think the enemy types are fairly well balanced.  Cerberus is probably the easiest while reapers and geth feel about equal on most maps.

You sound pretty frustrated and it sounds like the root of your frustration is you try to play the exact same way against the three enemy types even though they have some pretty big fundamental differences.  If you don't like geth rocket troops I can only imagine how you feel about ravagers.

*extends the bro fist*

Pound it. (or some stupid **** like that..)

No, seriously, great reply and if there was a clapping smiley it would be inserted here.

I do´nt think the Geth are too hard, but they are so glitchy it´s really frustrating. Shoot and move, never stop in one place for longer then it takes to shoot and move again seems to be the key.
But all tactics gets blown out the window when the enemy group you flank is not there when come around, when a new Prime spawns instantly when one falls, shoot 2 pyros, look behind you, and 2 new pyros has spawned in front of you. They come out of the walls, the room/area is clear, 1 sec later there they are.
I allways play as host, bronze or silver, random map and enemy. New players every time is fun, but against the Geth.. As they are now with all "bugs", I Hate them!! Still, they are not that hard to beat

"I always play as host, bronze or silver."
"Still, they are not that hard to beat."

Go play against Geth on Gold and then come back. Nothing is hard or even a challenge on Bronze or Silver.

Oh, sorry, my bad. I forgot I have no right to post on this board if I do not play GOLD.
This forum is so full of this Ohh, I am so good, I solo Gold bs and buff this and nerf that infantile bs.
Sorry, I am out of here, back to play the game in whatever way I find Funny.

But I played gold/geth/giant as a kroguard... wasn't too hard (of course had a bunch of other guys who may or may not have been superleetsniperpros). My biggest complaint was that the primes are too spongy, which is a pretty minor thing.

Krogan Vanguard Barrier prevents stagger lock.... <_<
Try playing against Geth/Gold with another Krogan, it's literally an exercise in frustration.

Sorry, but you completely missed my point. The recent Geth buffs apply to Gold and Gold only. Of course you aren't going to experience the same frustration on Bronze or Silver. Hunters aren't as fast on other difficulties and there are a lot less Rocket Troops, not to mention on any difficulty below Gold... you won't see three Primes at the same time.

That's why I said... go try Geth/Gold and then come back. Don't be so sensitive.

A very big issue is that BW makes gold harder than silver, and silver harder than bronze, by making the enemy more buffed. They seem to just add more enemy, and stronger. The concept of a smarter enemy with the same weaponry and numbers would be a lot more fun. Oh, another way to make a map harder: Make some of the ammo supply points run out more often. I have a feeling that if there were a new platinum game, that they would simply add a lot more enemy, double their shields/armor, and allow only 1 bullet in each ammo resupply per wave. Adding to a player's frustration is hardly the same as making a higher level game...it isn't a lasting model, the players get tired of it.

Rocket Troopers don't shoot rockets, they shoot biotic powers like us.

1. Duck back quietly in cover after he fires a rocket at you pssssss... ... 1 second later BAM!!! lost shield!

2. Pop out of cover to shoot him after he fires one when you're in cover, BAM!!! shield's gone!

3. Side roll thru a door to another room right after he fires one, thinking the rocket can't turn 90 degrees to hit you, BAM!!! I'm hit!

4. Catch him up close, concussive shot stun his ass, proceed to heavy melee him, pssssss BAM, Argh!

5. He shoots one at you while in cover, and then immediately shoots another one at you leaving his cover, psss psss you have 2 un-dodgeable rockets coming your way.... from the same guy.

No. I'm really interested in how are you getting stagger lock that leads to death.
The only possibility is melee drell.

Stating the bleeding obvious. No character can die from full death, not even drell guard, from two hunter shots. At worst it'll take you down to the health gate. That's not the problem. The problem is that you're staggered and can't do anything, and all it takes is a single bullet from any other source when you're at the health gate to kill you, and you can't use an ops pack to prevent it 'cos you're staggered.

TBH, you're really just coming across as a total troll with the inane questions that we're all pretty sure you know the answers to, but you're just deliberately focusing on obtuse select scenarios for your own personal amusement within this thread. If you're not trolling, you're doing a damn good job of acting like one.

I know. I played it before. But kroguard makes it easy. And so does phoenix vanguard, for that matter.

The Geth aren't even fun anymore, or challenging in a good way. They use a bunch of cheap tactics to try to stagger you, at which point you are as good as dead since the immediate follow up of rockets, GPS, and Prime shots WILL kill you. They are very frustrating as it is one cheap move after another.

it was so since the very start, wasn't it?
Also if you catch two ravager's shots, it also takes only one bullet from any other source to kill you. Same thing with phantom cannon. You say that only hunter's shots stagger you, but only hunter needs to be very close to start shooting. Looks like a balance.

Id rather have a fun experience, than a realistic one. Anyway seriously? You're talking about realism on a sci-fi game? Just no.

I'm at the point where I won't play Geth. Period. I see them as the enemy, I leave, even if the game has started. Between Rocket Troopers and their through-the-wall shots and the removal of prime head shots, why should I waste my time?

Fair question. Why waste time going through an exercise in frustration? It's not like they are difficult beyond playability, they are annoying beyond reason.

Why the trolls some people can't get that through their heads is beyond me though.

I don't know about you guys but I don't enjoy playing a game that makes me grind my teeth down to nubs from frustration.

I was on a silver match tonight playing as an Asari Vanguard on firebase goddess. My goodness I wanted to rage quit beasue I swear the geth were ripping me off so much. I've never been downed / dead in the past 3 months as much as that single game. The rockets, hunters, and other auto aim crap the geth have with 1 mile long pyro flames it drove me mad.

I agree, they're just annoying to play against. They're beatable, but it's just too much work for something that's suppose to be fun.

Plus I love how these threads turn into " You don't do Gold, you don't know what you're talking about." Come on people, this is how communities turn into ones like Dungeon Defenders.

Geth are a pain but they are also, by far, the most predictable faction. It is the reason that FBWGG is so wildly successful. Their movements can be turned against them, on almost any map. They don't use any cover. They group post spawn more than any other faction. While they are annoying, I think without all their little quirks, they would be far too easy. If you take away their quirks, you have to change some of their standout behaviors to compensate, and if you do that, you run the risk of homogenization. Honestly, I think Bioware should be commended for making three enemy factions that feel so different to play against.

Also, in my opinion, it is poor form to drop out of a game simply because Geth show up. If you don't want to face Geth, don't play r/r/g. You do your teammates a disservice. I think if you sign up for r/r/g, you should play the hand you're dealt. That's the entire point, isn't it?

By my definition that's cheap not challenging by any length of the imagination.  Never once did I say any of it posed a serious threat to extraction in my games.  Only that it's extremely annoying to deal with knowing one hit from any unit could restrict you from defending yourself.  That's it.

Seems reasonable to me. They are relatively cheap, but nothing good tactics can't compensate for. Can clear U/U/G with any sort of class/weapon composition (just because tech group = dead geth doesn't mean they're "broken"), just need communication and smart play.

I know how you feel. Sometimes I often seen 3 rockets in rapid fire from a bad lag. Not cool man, not cool.

Tis not lag. I only ever host, no matter the difficulty (IMO no latency is worth the couple minute wait). They gain the ability to fire "volleys" in increasingly short spans, probably because it would be boring if the only differnce that difficulty made was damage/health numbers.
