I saw a team mate getting fried by a Geth pyro while she was waaaaaay in front of the flame. If you increase the range Bioware, at least increase the length of the flame so we can know when we're in danger.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's just word of mouth that the flame is longer, right? It's people just not understanding that the way latency works, your're going to get hit slightly out of the cone of fire when you're not hosting.
Not that I can't believe it could have/has been buffed. If that's the case though, it's still exacerbated by lag compensation.

I agree, they're just annoying to play against. They're beatable, but it's just too much work for something that's suppose to be fun.
Plus I love how these threads turn into " You don't do Gold, you don't know what you're talking about." Come on people, this is how communities turn into ones like Dungeon Defenders.
Look. I'm not saying if you don't do Gold then you don't know what you're talking about! I'm not saying that AT ALL.
But what I am saying is if you are basing the Geth faction's difficulty/annoyingness on Bronze and Silver play... then you don't have a full picture until you get some Gold experience against the Geth under your belt.
They are a lot worse on Gold. A lot worse.

Geth moto - ALL OF YOUR CONTROLS ARE BELONG TO US! or ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL!
Seriously - has anyone at Bioware tried to play Quarian Engineer vs Geth on Gold and after the game said: 'This is perfectly fine"

Ok. Now it's really obvious you're trolling. None of those others stun lock you when being hit. You forgot an Atlas as well. None of those others continue shooting and staggering you while they are staggered, stunned, stasised, floating or whatever. The stun locking thing has gotten has been around for a long time. The problem is that coupled with the other incremental buffs, people's patience for it is/has running out.sareth_65536 wrote...
it was so since the very start, wasn't it?Also if you catch two ravager's shots, it also takes only one bullet from any other source to kill you. Same thing with phantom cannon. You say that only hunter's shots stagger you, but only hunter needs to be very close to start shooting. Looks like a balance.DarkAbsolution wrote...Stating the bleeding obvious. No character can die from full death, not even drell guard, from two hunter shots. At worst it'll take you down to the health gate. That's not the problem. The problem is that you're staggered and can't do anything, and all it takes is a single bullet from any other source when you're at the health gate to kill you, and you can't use an ops pack to prevent it 'cos you're staggered.
Ciao.

I'd love to see a rocket launcher that can fire two rockets that fast. Why do I have to reload my Widow every shot, but a rocket trooper can fire two rockets faster than an M5 can shift gears?
And the sad thing is, it makes no difference for farming FBWGG. None. You can still farm that all day long, although the "bring stuff to the landing zone" objective can make things hairy on wave 10. But Geth everywhere else have just become ridiculous.
Up next, Flamers will be buffed so their flames reach across 70% of a map. <_<
Every weapon that's good has to be nerfed into effing oblivion, but hey, let's keep making the Geth more and more BS.

If you exaggerate like this, you run this risk of damaging the credibilty of whatever you're talking about. Hard to tell apart embelishment from flat-out misinformation through text, particularly when almost every post in this thread seems to be guilty of it to some extent. Can kind of expect that from the title, though.

Over the past week or so I've noticed ( by means of getting my face smashed in a few .....OK, a few HUNDRED times....) a difference in geth rocket Troopers, Hunters and primes to the point I no longer enjoy Gold. It's gotten beyond 'challenging' . Everyone I play with agrees. Even silver and bronze seem harder.
Nice examples:
A Hunter, jukeing a Claymore shot at arms length. Not even 2 foot away. Are you ^*% serious? This happened multiple times. He knew when I pulled the trigger. And I was CLOAKED.
Nice programming.
Dying, lifeless limp armed Rocket Boy spamming two rockets as he slumped lifeless into a heap against a wall on Jade. Expertly curving between two offset arches right into my face.
Reactor...getting plowed by a Prime on the other side of the map...with NO sight line. We could HEAR it but no one could see it.
Hunters....what is it with them that every *#^ time they start walking towards us, my gun either just will not shoot, won't reload, or I cannot fire off a power.. ..it's like everything from my weapon to my character is momentarily caught in some sucking vacuum that freezes everything. It's definitely frustrating
I've also had many discussions this week about how many of the characters are simply not able to be useful in Gold.
Soldiers..right build, they are deadly in silver and I love them. but they drop like a stone in Gold. I've had a few Golds that were passable but more that were disastrous. Shame.
Vangurds and Adepts - for all their power, they also drop in a shot it feels like.
Turians. Big useless puss on Gold. So-So on silvers. Can rip it up w/ a Hurricane setup, but can't back up ( No roll..) So immobile, its near useless in heavy fighting. Big tough super soldier of the Galaxy right? C'mon bioware. Huge shield/health but can still drop in a flash. Why? Takes me two clips and pile of shredder/concussions to kill a Marauder but my Turian is a puss in comparison.
Batarians..same. Stands there like a lump of crap and will not move. I got killed by a Prime on Goddess/Gold. I was at the railing in the top room. Prime appears, shoots once. Batarian tough guy takes it in the mug -- then proceeds to go through this stupid "ARGGGH!! " animation where he staggers back a foot, shakes it off, staggers back up a foot...right into shot 2 from the Prime. Repeats stupid animation that you cannot get out of, then walks right into shot three and dies. Biiig Baaaad tough guys. And all the time I am SLAMMMING the "1 button magically does everything!! " 'A' to get into cover..slammming it.... but because of the stupid 4 second animation, I cannot do ANYTHING but get smashed by the Prime over and over.
Engineers and Infiltrators are left.
Don't even get me started on weapons, lack of N7 or ultra rare
UPGRADES ( HELLO????)
So, What did you people do to this game recently?? I missed the Balance email...need to check it I guess.
I regularly bronze w/ 1 other or alone, usually no sweat. Three on Silver , sometimes just two. This past week, starting late Monday or Tuesday, it seems like from round 1 on there are so many enemies its just overwhelming. Gold, we had I swear 4 Banshees at any time the last 3 or 4 rounds...you could NOT move without running into one or one of a dozen or more Marauders ( I counted TEN on round 10 last night on Gold, in one section DIRECTLY in front of me...) TEN. And we had already killed a LOT.
I dunno. Between the fact that I get almost NOTHING from packs anymore, to the overpowering of the enemies...enjoyment is running low.
Love most of the MP ( except that dumb A button....), Appreciate the DLC and every weapon/character I have; but you're making it hard to enjoy with the poor packs and weak weapons ( nerf nerf nerf....) and buffed enemies .
Just my opinion

I know multiple posters do solo runs against them, like Talon, so I mean is this a, the Geth are tough on Solo runs thread? Cause, well yeah, they are going to be tough on solo runs.
I will tell you what bothers me about the Rocket trooper, it's the insta fire thing they do. You know those cat like reflexes, that allow them to fire backwards when you sneak up behind them. To many times the rocket has been fired before the weapon is even aimed.
PS. Hydra is one of the best maps for Geth.

when they spawn, they auto-lock a person and will just march to that person, kinda like their waypoint. so they second u show a pixel they just shoot lol..
u could see what i mean on a geth infiltrator with hunter mode... watch them thru the wall, then cloak while still behind a corner or something, u'll see them just kinda stop, stand still for a second, and re-orient.

No I get it, but basically with the Geth I just try and keep my distance, shoot from cover quickly, and kill the most immediate threat. Or what I call hunter watch. Turrets and decoys work great against them. Not talking about FBWGG but in any situation, get your decoy and turrets out there first and they will focus on them, and while they focus I kill. The ninja reflexes of the Rocket trooper are annoying and I just try and kill them early. The stunlock hunters are in the same boat, those are my two main targets, Pyro's are slow and not really a problem, and Primes are last on my list, the only thing I keep an eye out for is their turrets.
Defending the Hydra control center by the dam with a GE and a SE is not that hard. Just keep checking the back door to make sure they don't sneak in. Place a turret just outside the door with a decoy and you can kill geth all day with no real threat. Have done two man runs on Hydar gold. The best part is rocket troopers have no great shot at you. I love my AP mods against the geth as well. I don't like the geth on small maps where they can spawn right on top of you and are closer than I like.

Nice OP, I agree.
The only time I really find geth easy is if I break out the QFI.
Otherwise they're crazy with the stunlocking, super accuracy and magic rockets.
