I know the guy who produced it.
Good summer popcorn flick with incredible effects. It's fun. I prefer the book.
But that's pretty much me. I always prefer the book.

Calm down. They just don't understand your vision yet. Lick them, they'll get it

I "got it" my Freshman year of High School when a student put a bullet through his head because people wanted him to be something else.
It's wrong to mention this, but I'm not touching why.
I know what the obvious assumption these days would be, but there are lots of reasons really.
Several, yes.

Odd, since most of the people here simply saying "synthesis sucks" and giving no other reasons are doing the same thing, you don't seem to call them out on that front. The national sociolist party of germany stood for destroying others who weren't like them, destory advocates destroying all synthetic life for being different.
Your philosophy is the same outcome achieved through different means, and you act more high and mighty than most anyone else on the destroy camps side.
a) How many times do I have to repeat that I am not a destroy supporter? All endings are abominable.Even so, destroy does not advocate the death of all synthetics, merely that the Geth are being held hostage over it and Shepard is too damn stupid to argue this point or find another way.
c) If the ****s had a magic machine that would turn all humanity into their ideal master race, you can bet they'd use it without hesitation.
I beg to differ. Mac was too pig-headed to allow Shepard to have another way.
If the Geth aren't there it's not a problem. If the Geth are there then it is a problem.
I'm not opting for either of the other two "final solutions".

why in the world would i do that?
given that the catalyst introduces the option at the very end, im gonna use the starchild as a starting point:
the starchild claims:
the "essence" of organic and synthetic will be merged into one.
let us ignore for the moment that it seems scientifically impossible to achieve.
pros:
-no more organic/synthetic war
-presumably no more sickness
-presumably longer lifespans
cons:
-im forcing this choice on EVERYBODY without ever asking their opinion, as opposed to the other two choices which were in one form or the other agreed upon when starting the assault on earth (killing the reapers is what everybody expects you to do, but controlling them and forcing them to back off will do the same, without changing anyones life in the same way this "merger" will)
- shepard dies (yeah i said it; i want my shepard to live)
- two of the pros have presumably as a modifier, since noone can tell what the end result will be
- the other pro i can come up with seems bogus to me, since killing the reapers only leaves the geth as posssible synthetics for a syn/org war, and i brokered peace with them (between them and the quarians), and they seem to be keeping their end of the agreement, i have no reason to think they EVER will rebell again (other than the word of the starchild, but i get to that one later)
- i have no reason to think that the whole syn/org scism is really as unsolvable as both javic and this starchild claim
- why in the world would i trust anything this goddamn starchild says? for all i know, im jumping into that beam and all that happens is, i disintegrate and the reapers win. (controll ending also states that shep definately dies; destroy is the only one the leaves the OPTION for shep to live open)
soooo, synthesis, no thank you.

Nope.
Although I did make that Another Brick In the Wall banner you said people would be rewarded for, but I can't find a f*cking URL to put it in my sig.

Send me the url or something. I need to learn how to resize the Miranda sig though.

Unless you're a wizard poised to strike the hammer blow that ends Synthesis once and for all.

Sadly, Bioware holds all the magic. And they use it for bad.
