Suggestion for Item DLC

Anyway, I'm kind of a DLC junkie in that I can be depended upon to purchase ALL OF IT and to preorder and play the Facebook game etc. etc. etc. I LIKES ME SOME BONUS ITEMS.
Anyhoo, I think it'd be quite cool, IF you guys do future item DLC's, you bundle all the preorder items that go to various different vendors with it. It'd be a boon to those of us (maybe it's just me, but I doubt it, I'm just not that freakin' original) who wind up with kind of a "gotta catch em all" attitude towards bonus items.
Also, if you're one of those people who HATES DLC and HATES PREORDER BRIBE ITEMS, I respect your ire but it's not really necessary to stomp all over this thread, I know you exist, the devs know you exist, it's a perfectly valid opinion to have, but it doesn't really have any bearing on what they do with the bonus stuff that DOES exist. Thank you for your tolerance.

I saw something in another thread that made me think about this, but it didn't seem an appropriate thread to post it in so I'm just starting a new thread.

If they do that, I think it would have to come at a time when the game's sell-cycle is basically finished, since the whole point of PO bribes is for you to make a choice as to what DLC bonus you want.
The problem becomes when it ends up involving substantial content, like additional characters, side-quests, and the like... Let the choice be between, say, an armor set or a bow.

Though I don't see it would do any harm to anyone if it was merely exclusive for the first 3 months or something.

None of the vendor-specific preorder bonuses involve "substantial" content, by design. It's always some item or other.

I guess the issue is what's in the contract with the retailer. If they've promised them Exclusive DLC, then it'll have to stay exclusive.

Why would it make any difference to the vendor after the preorders get sent out? Since it's preorder-only, the incentive ceases to exist when the preorder period is over.

Stone Prisoner
Shale
Blood Dragon Armor for Origins and Mass Effect2
in game items like Feral Wolf Charm and Memory Band
Bergen's Honor helm
Final Reason Staff
Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes
a cool cloth map of the world
plus a bonus disk
and much more.
It was well worth the $'s.
