Really you can't blame them. They've used almost every viable race, they have very little places to go.

This! They all need to be unique with there OWN powers that are different to the already existing characters!

They have cool names though. And who knows, maybe the DLC info is inaccurate and they're just code names like Phoenix was. As much as I love getting any DLC (I didn't expect them to support the MP part of the game for this long) I do agree, they could have done more interesting things.

I have to disagree. There are literally dozens of potential alien race/class combinations that are completely plausible.

Drell Infiltrator/Soldier/Sentinel/Engineer
Salarian Sentinel/Adept
Batarian Infiltrator/Vanguard
Turian Female anything
non-Geth synthetic/AI/VI races
Geth Soldier
controversially, Protheans or Raloi
unlikely but workable, Hanar Adept or Engineer (not quite humanoid, but the frame and tentacles can fit into the head/arms/legs framework)
unlikely but would be awesome, Rachni

People were complaining about 1/3 of Rebellion being human, an entirely human MP character DLC seems like they don't really have a finger on the community's pulse or they don't really care.
