Personally its a rumor till I hear something from bioware I'm taking it with a grain of salt. If it is true I think its great if they add some earth maps to mp and personally as far as six human characters being added as long as their not basicly super simular to each other like the rebelion characters and some of them are female humans I'll be glad. Heck if one of them is like a phantom I will be completly excited

Ok, either that leak has a typo, or you are about to seriously disappoint quite a few fans with this new DLC.

I am pretty confident that I can say... "Nearly NOBODY wants SIX more Human characters."
Maybe 1 or 2 would be fine.
But of all the suggestions and wants from the community.... you give us SIX more humans?
I seriously hope not.

Nah, I'm okay with that, as long as the skills are cool.

They really should add female turians to the game, though.
I know they won't, but they should. They're also part of the military, so why the hell not?

Bad enough the BF3 character was male only.

I have a feeling that the Cerberus Phantom will be female.
Maybe there will be a female Cerberus Engineer.

In Cerberus, men do biotics, women do tech maybe?
It should be men do both, women do both.

As for Battlefield 3, was that character only male.
Shame. That was an improved version of the human soldier and it had no female equivalent.

More likely, the reason we saw the Cerberus "Project: Phoenix" individuals brought as male only relates to a lore piece we'll find in SP at some point.

It's not too farfetched to believe that the Illusive Man would have multiple programs running testing out different things, with "Project Phoenix" testing the viability of creating a frontline force of biotic soldiers.
Given how we've seen the Alliance military portrayed(primarily male infantry; with a few females in more of an intelligence/logistical role and some females in a combat role) it would make sense to have that project consisting primarily of males.

Actually I disagree

Mirand, jack, tali, liara and samara have all proven that women can fight almost just as welll as any men more plausible the reason that all the phoenix soldiers are male is because the women ended up becoming nemisises and Phantoms

Do you ever stop putting people down?

Seriously that's ALL you do around here.

Nobody likes you bro. You've insulted way to many people and stepped on way to many toes.

Crying? No. I'm voicing a concern as a fan. I don't want 6 more Humans, there are plenty of people who feel the same way.

And you're not going to diminish the legitimacy of my concern by being a complete jerk. Or well by being yourself that is.

Talon, you've gotta be the blackest pot I've ever seen.   I mean even here, I just acknowledge the fact that you're constantly crying about something, which let's face it, everyone here always knows you are, and you turn around and throw out an insult that no one likes me.  Yes, the latter is worse.  But I couldn't care less anyway lol.  Fact is, you even saying it shows how simple minded you can be.  Nobody likes me?  More like maybe ten of ya don't, ten of which I don't WANT to like me.  The whole reason I joined was to lend a voice of reason and stand up in the face of those ten or their like.  But I can say for certain that far more have appreciated what I've been doing than haven't.  But even that's irrelevant, since I'm not here running for class president lol.

But the line you wrote that exposes you the most, and underlines exactly why I do what I do, is your statement that "I've stepped on too many toes".  Too many or the elite few?  But you thinking there are toes to be stepped on is your problem.  You and your ilk think you're better than others, that your opinions, positions and standing should be respected and heeded more than others.  That's why you and your ilk are frustrated beyond oblivion with me since I've come to town.  Because your toes aren't supposed to be stepped on right?  How DARE I come in and not put you on the pedastal you convince yourself you should be on!  Well too bad.  There are no toes to be stepped on to begin with.  Your opinion is no more valid (in most cases less so) than anyone elses.  Get over yourself already.

Oh, and there is no legitimacy to your concern.  Just typical arrogance and me me me it's all about me! cliche garbage.

Why so personal?
Let's just chill out. Take some time to relax. Have a little think about the topic of this thread.
Think about why the opening post doesn't like human characters.
How apparantly humans equate to boring.

I am excited by alien classes. But why to humans necessarily equate to broing anyway?
I know more about humans than the lot of the alien races put together.
All of the aliens in Mass Effect are based on human characteristics.
Humans are quite agile, versatile, strong and intelligent in real life. They're also aggressive, complex and emotional (as you can tell from some of the posts on these forums).
Humans display such a large range of diciplines, personalities, abilities, strengths and weaknesses, that you can write a book about each person.
Humans are far from boring. Humans are the race we know the most about.
Dangerous, daring, unpredictable, unstable, aggressive, intelligent and emotional. Nothing boring about that.

My list of possible classes
Adept: salarian, turian
Soldier: geth, drell(somewhat squishy)
Infiltrator: turian, drell
Sentinel: salarian, drell(somewhat squishy), asari
Engineer: turian, drell, krogan, batarian
Vanguard: turian, batarian

Salarians and turians do have biotics according to ingame lore, however they are reserved for special ops and other more obscure organizations, which is why they are not seen ingame.
Turians do have engineers, you see them occasionally in the first games.
Geth have soldiers, just count the amount of troopers you have killed. They cannot have biotics because they are pure synthetics.
Drell have almost the same physical abilities as humans and there is in no place stated (that I know of) that they are all biotics, so they are capable of being any class.
There are 3 krogan engineers in ME2, Okeer, the high lord researcher something and clan urdnots mechanic. Also krogan have created several weapons like the graal and striker and the nukes they used on their own planet.

Volus are not included for obvious reasons (splat!) and elcor does not fit in the current class system.

You're making a counterpoint to a point I didn't actually make.

If Project: Phoenix was done in such a way that it was to be a small-scale test for using Alliance defectors as a biotic fighting force, then it makes sense that it would be a logical step to make to use males as the test subjects given that the Alliance military is predominantly male.

Nowhere did I say that "Women can't fight!" <_<

Yeah I don't use BF3 character, I hate being male when I have a chocie to be a female... Also irritates me when they seem to 'forget' females play games too and just make it male only.

I want a Female Ex-Ceberus, same as the male powers just female.

Don't want any new powers just female, bad enough they buff up the Quarian male, since the female is now rubbish.

I like that you listed Drell for everything they don't already have. I am a huge supporter of more Drell, definitely my favorite race to play!

I don't think Salarians are very Vanguardy, remember that statement in SP about how Salarians don't like fighting wars they haven't already won? Vanguards are the least subtle and most aggressive thing on the battlefield, the definition of an in-your-face war. Of course I understand that gameplay and lore should not line up absolutely but those are my two cents.

Everything else, I don't see why not. I would also like Hanar Adept and Engineer, and I do think their character models can conform to bipedal ones since they are basically slightly taller than humans with more limbs.

You already have twice as many aliens as humans- What's the harm in six more?

Or because the "Project: Phoenix" was primarily consistent of males, while a "Project: Phantom" and "Project: Nemesis" consisted of primarily females?

We don't know how The Illusive Man ran these projects. All we really know is that the soldiers that he throws against us in the course of the game are Indoctrinated, and that the Project: Phoenix team found out about the indoctrinations and chose to defect to the Alliance, much like the Cerberus defectors that Jacob Taylor was protecting in the campaign.

Indeed still hopeing that perhaps they could introduce a entirely new classes other then new races or new additions to the classes we already have but if so that is still ok

A) It's just a rumor
B) As humans that's the species we identify with most

I'm sure more people would play as human characters (to role play) if human classes were more powerful.

Given that the 3 main things we have in the game for classes are combat, biotic, and tech the only thing they really have left to add as a class would be something that incorporates all 3, since we have every other combination.

Imagine how many classes we'd have if there were

15 character cards for each race

15 Humans (Including BF3 and Project Phenoix)
15 Asari
15 Drell
15 Salarians
15 Quarians
15 Geth
15 Turians
15 Krogans
15 Baterians
15 Vorcha

That would be 150 characters. Now that is a lot. Would be an amazing amount of choice though.
Imagine sifting through 100 classes before finding one you like.

I have to disagree. There are literally dozens of potential alien race/class combinations that are completely plausible.

Drell Infiltrator/Soldier/Sentinel/Engineer
Salarian Sentinel/Adept
Batarian Infiltrator/Vanguard
Turian Female anything
non-Geth synthetic/AI/VI races
Geth Soldier
controversially, Protheans or Raloi
unlikely but workable, Hanar Adept or Engineer (not quite humanoid, but the frame and tentacles can fit into the head/arms/legs framework)
unlikely but would be awesome, Rachni

People were complaining about 1/3 of Rebellion being human, an entirely human MP character DLC seems like they don't really have a finger on the community's pulse or they don't really care. :?

I don't think that Drell Soldier wold work.
When it comes to Protheans.....well since the MP of this games is suppose to play out parallell to the Single Player story it would srew up the continuity of the ME universe too include then unless they make a single player DLC where more active Protheans pods are discoverd.

Yes for each race but not each gender?

With 24 male characters and 8 female, not including Asari or Geth etc.

Well some of the sentinels already do that.  Tech armor is beefy, and could almost be considered a combat power.  Then they've got tech and biotics on top of that?  It's either overpowered or unfocused, depending on how you spin it.

The only real way to introduce an entirely new class would be to add some new dynamic to the class system.  Something beyond combat, biotic, and tech powers.  A fourth category.  But seeing as how that breaks many things, I'd say it won't happen.
