Male or female? That's my one and only question for now. Let's see what happens.
It is now taking one more character card than it should to fully "max" out the DLC characters on the Multiplayer Manifest.
I maxxed out my MQI and Cerberus Vanguard, full customization options...but it was not until I received another MQI card today that it reads as fully customized on the MP Manifest. I had the same thing happening with the GI/GE, Krogan Battlemaster and Asari Justicar.
Could be that there's one further customization slot available which hasn't been enabled yet, which might be a gender toggle for certain DLC races?

The powers would be Pull, Singularity, and Shockwave.
But that would make them Godlike in Bronze!! How about, Blade Armor, Singularity and Pull?

Hold the phone people, you need to check your rumors before you get upset. There will be 6 new human classes, but it will not be for one DLC, it will be for 2 DLC's. Yes two DLC's.
"Let me be clear: "And as a bonus...", I meant "and on top of leaking a bit about the MP DLC...". They are not all one description. They are two separate DLCs. I lumped them together in one post because I have info on both. Two separate DLCs. These are the descriptions only. No release date on either. Clear enough?"
"There's a topic on the Bioware forums where someone is thinking that I meant that these are coming out at the same time. I did not say that. Also, I'm not the same person that leaked the screenshot of the first DLC, nor was I the one who posted the "Truth" DLC hoax."
It's a partial leak on two differnt DLC's guys, okay so we don't know all the classes or the weapons, or the maps.
The original thread also had info on the Extended Cut DLC. Some people thought that the two were being released together in one package, or at least simultaneously. He was stressing that the Extended Cut and the new MP DLC are two different DLCs with different release dates.

I'm hoping one of the new characters will be an Alliance Soldier. I've always like their armour.
I'm kinda hoping all of them will use Kaiden/Vega's "lightweight" alternate uniform.

Mass effect games have always been VERY story-driven. The characters and races have been explored a lot in the games. Then third game comes and there's a multiplayer, people get to play the existing races instead of humans they had to play through all games, and I daresay it's been a really big influence on people playing multiplayer, getting to play characters they couldn't before.
So is it really that hard to understand that in a very story driven RPG people would care about what characters they play as? Yes, even in multiplayer. I'm more concerned the new audience Mass Effect can't see the appeal of playing as something different, and just care about the gameplay. It's not COD, even though Bioware seems to want it to be.
And the argument "just mod your client to look like an alien" is the stupidest one I've ever heard. Yeah, looking like an alien only to yourself in a multiplayer game? Laughable.

come on the state humans are now they have no love and everyone hate them
The only ones that see some love are
Human sentinel - Be anytime they want and survivability
Human vanguard - charge + nova combo
Human Soldier - mostly adrenaline rush and frag grenade
and the new phoenix classes
all of them of which are completely overshadowed by other races like the asari, krogan, batarian, quarian, vorcha
the ex-cerberus operatives didn't do that good of a job on making the humans lovable again Imo
and why should you guys even bother? if this DLC leak is true then just don't play with the humans and keep playing with the other races you have and stop complaining about them adding more humans
im sure a good chunk of the community would be happy if they added a geth character for each class except adept and vanguard (i can see it in your eyes people)
or if they added a krogan for each class includimg adept and engineer
when its other type of races being added for each class and stuff everyone is like "yayyy awesome soo gonna play with them" (pretty much how resurgence went down) now when they're adding only humans instead of only other races into playable characters everyone is like "AAAHHH THIS IS BS IM WHY U DON'T ADD SOMETHING DECENT?!" (thats how i see this thread)
i don't understand this community as much as i thought i did
(and this post really looks like a rant doesn't it?)

Poor OP, that's what you get for complaining about anything on this forum. People defending the thing you disagree with, while ignoring everything you say. Seriously, people who think we should stop whining and think only about gameplay, think of it this way: (although I'm sure a lot of you are already replying to me to stop whining, ignoring the following)

I can understand people wanting to play as their favourite species. I was fortunate in that my favourite species and class happened to be together at launch in the Quarian Infiltrator, and again in the Rebellion DLC. They're quickly running out of usable species that they can add as entirely new to the MP, but it would still be nice to have things like Turian Infiltrators for the Garrus fans out there.
However, people claiming that this is Bioware being lazy when all they know is that there are 6 new humans are just flat out wrong. It's kind of hard to take someone serious when they say that the nerfers will complain the weapons into uselessness before the DLC has even launched, when he's complaining that Bioware is "lazy" before the DLC is even official.

Maybe people are wanting Bioware to start charge some money for the DLC's, for only the ones who are really interested on them. While they are free, there is one or two threads saying "thank you BW" and a thousand complaining about something on them.

Human Soldier and Sentinel are awesome, as are Novaguards (save for map and charge bugs). PV and PA would be fine if they had DR/invuln frames on lash and smash- they're quite unique enough otherwise and certainly have potential.
Besides, the new N7 classes have excellent titles. I'm curious to see what they do with em. Moar human rolls is always a good thing.

If you're hosting, the Human Vanguard is probably the best Vanguard there is. Krogan is tanky, but Human is destructive and invincible 90% of the time.
I would also argue that the Human Soldier is one of the better Soldiers, as well.

Bioware doesn't have models for females of every race, at least not models that are distinguishable from the male models. Humans and Quarians are the only ones that have both models. All the other races have only one, with the asari taking up the alien female demographic. Since there really isn't much in the way of role-playing going on in MP, I don't see why anyone would have gender hangups.SinnSly wrote...

Imagine how many classes we'd have if there were
15 character cards for each race
15 Humans (Including BF3 and Project Phenoix)
15 Asari
15 Drell
15 Salarians
15 Quarians
15 Geth
15 Turians
15 Krogans
15 Baterians
15 Vorcha
That would be 150 characters. Now that is a lot. Would be an amazing amount of choice though.
Imagine sifting through 100 classes before finding one you like.
Yes for each race but not each gender?
With 24 male characters and 8 female, not including Asari or Geth etc.
Us girls have the crap side of it right now.
@ wizardryforever
Then why would people complain about the characters being only human? People like to have choice of race, gender and such (even if its only aesthetics) . Otherwise we could all start playing a gray blob of nothing with powers.
Also in the single player there were some female turians and salarians if I remember correctly. Even if its only a small difference, some people would appreciate it.
Edit: also on a more practical note, overall the female versions take up less screen space
