The original set of Firebases were all taken exactly from various N7 missions during SP. 

It's logical to assume that it's the other way around - the maps were designed by the MP team for the MP, and then they were shoehorned in to the SP campaign as N7 missions. The circular designs of the MP maps are much different than the linear progression of the maps in the SP campaigns of ME2 & 3, so playing the N7 missions as Shepard felt really weird to me.

Getting back on topic somewhat, the conspiracy theorist in me is wondering when BW gives the go-ahead to the guy to leak the next DLC details. Do they see a certain % of the playerbase max out the prior DLC's weapons/chars and say "Well, we'd better dangle out the next carrot" or what?

I'll be happy with whatever they put out as long as they continue to put out new stuff.  Also - regardless if this pack is real or not I wouldn't mind having a ballpark date for the next DLC release (with or without any other details) so that I can plan on saving up credits again.

I agree with Sable Dove from page 1: They need an R name, Resistance sounds awesome.

That said, I look foward to earth-centric maps and the new N7 classes, Its like having baby Shepards on the N7 ops teams now. Real N7 power!

I hope it is true to keep the game fresh. More maps, more classes, more weapons,and more gear are a good thing. We'll see. I am curious what the various class names mean. Do they involve new races or just new classes for the old races. I wonder what new abilities they'll have to differentiate themselves from the existing classes.

I'm assuming that if this DLC does have maps taking place on Earth they'll be during when Hammer is fighting on the ground? As for the new "classes" I'm sure they're just nicknames like Ex-Cerberus was called Pheonix.

I'm sure Bioware has decided to make these the last humans (unless we get Ex-Cerberus engineers and infiltrators) based on the number of people wanting new aliens or extensions to existing ones.

I am going to hold off on the whole "Oh look, ANOTHER EARTH DLC THREAD" Because it has been done to death already.
Personally, I wish that all 3 maps were new areas. Bioware gets so lazy, that they'll just take an area from the Single Player (Condor, Jade, Goddess) and add a few extra areas to it. Vancouver would be okay if we were in the city and not the areas from the first mission, and London would be fine if it was new areas, but knowing Bioware, it won't be.

Earth was the biggest dissapointment for me in all of Mass Effect, besides the ending.

I'd rather pay for it up front and unlock everything than spend millions of credits on packs and get nothing.
I just recently unlocked all of the characters from Resurgence and have yet to unlock them all for Rebellion.

The leaker hasn't been wrong about any DLC thus far.

"But they are wrong:
It's not Earth dlc, it's "THE Earth" dlc"

Now, being serious, with Rebellion they haven't said anything and same here. No closed thread or people "dismissing" something.
It's obvious that this has some degree of true and that they don't want to make it worse by saying something, looks like they learnt to not say "speculations, nothing concrete" to avoid look bad on the future.

This "leak" is very early though. Rebellion came out like, 2 weeks ago?
I don't expect this DLC until July/August, unless they plan to make it a slam-bam-thank you ma'am and group it together with the extended cut coming out of nowhere

For Rebellion it was something like:
Oh this is just a rumor, we haven't anounced anything yet.
But make sure to check back next week
