If BW want to go in the direction of more humans that's fine. After that though I hope they focus more on SP DLC. Items on list I'd like to see?
Retake Omega - Cause it was mentioned in ME3
Dark Energy Resolution - This was an important story element with a much loved character in ME2 that went nowhere. Time to put it to bed with a bang.
Rise of the Reaper! - If the Cat wants to stay tight lipped fine. I'd rather play through his memories of the first cycle to find out what he did to create the Reapers.
There was single player DLC in production, but the Extended Cut put that on hold.
Besides, adding a new characters for multiplayer wouldn't really interfere with singleplayer production. Multiplayer doesn't need more than one or two writers for item, map and class descriptions, and they don't take very long; whereas, single player DLC has a story, dialogue, new names, new locations with descriptions to match, ect. The programing is handled by two different studios, and programing for multiplayer and singleplayer takes different skills so they don't have to share programmers. Most models for multiplayer come from singleplayer, so it only needs modelers and designers for weapons and character powers; whereas story DLC adds new characters, so it needs character modelers, and time and money can be saved by adding multiplayer models into singleplayer, e.g. a batarian squadmate with Blade Armor, Balistic Blades and the Kishock. Multiplayer levels have been put together using models from single player and they're smaller, so they don't take as much time or as many people to design and build as new, larger environments that story DLC adds.
