Silver is good as it is imho, if you make silver harder, the MP would stagnate simply because people who could already play current silver but not gold yet, would only play bronze. since if you make silver harder, you might as well spend the same time playing 2 bronze matches instead of 1 silver match, get more XP and money in the process too. Making silver harder from what it is now, dumb suggestion on so many levels. Oh and atm, we have a nice progression of gamer skill at the moment, you usually see people with n7 of around 100-200 popping up in silver, so i would say thats about the right time to join them, and they will feel the need to try the gold from time to time, i have a feeling OP was never a godly doodly killing machine in hes early gold and silver days, so i suggest he should stop making silly suggestions like this. Try to see it from a point of view of a player who got the game, say a week ago.

As i've already said Silver is silver for a reason. But someone over at BW needs to put a stop to this thread. This is just coming up short of becoming a flame thread.

This happens a lot in lobbies with random dudes playing a Vanguard who decides to host his own game in order to avoid glitching out.

So, if you have a less than satisfactory (Read : anything less than a 20Mbps connection), please, for the love of God, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HOST A GOLD GAME...

Latency is far more important than bandwidth. Someone with a 2Mbps connection on the computer next to you will give you a better experience than a 100Mbps connection on the other side of the planet.

Personally, I live in Japan, so there's an ocean (or Russia) between me and most of the people who play this game. This means that despite the fact that I have a 160Mbps connection I can still get some atrocious lag.

And Silver doesn't need to be harder. I have a hard enough time with it already. I'd argue we need a difficulty level between bronze and silver because bronze is way too easy and silver just a bit too hard for me.

A lot of threads turn into that here it seems in large part because of the immature community. Can't be contrarian here at all. This place is almost as juvenile as high school. As soon as anyone deviates from the norm or suggests different ideas oh boy do the knives come out. It only takes one to encourage others. It's petty and in some cases mean spirited but I see it all the time.

If you have the Cerberus Harrier and Asari Justicar from the first DLC pack, get Pull and Reave maxed out along with fitness and Asari Justicar training and try that on silver. I have been walking through silver all day. Just need to stay close to cover and a weapon crate. I have been ignoring pull and just hitting them with reave the unloading a clip into a group. It seem very affective. It's imprortant to make sure the radius on reave and pull are expanded and health and shields are focused on under the fitness power. Melee isn't that important because nothing should get near. If there are other biotics on the team the enemy don't last long either and reave and a clip usually take down Banshees, Phantoms, Brutes and do a lot of damage to Primes and Atlas'. You shouldn't hit many problem on silver with this set up.
