As everyone has already said, it's not that we don't understand your problem. It's that your solution to the "problem" MAKES NO GOD DAMN SENSE.

Making Silver harder will just cause more people to skip the difficulty altogether and go straight to Gold. More work for the same amount of credits = less time efficient when you factor in the possibility of losing due to higher difficulty with NO COMPENSATION in credits rewarded for the higher challenge level.

Your suggestion effectively makes the problem WORSE, not better.

You've misdiagnosed the cause of your problem. It's not that Silver is too easy, thus encouraging people to move to Gold sooner, its that the rewards of Gold are too tempting for many people to pass up, even if they are below the necessary skill level to achieve any reasonable success rate.

FBW/G/G is arguably more responsible for this than Silver being too easy.

Having progressed naturally from Bronze to Silver, and getting ready to take that next leap from Silver to Gold, I have to ask myself do I even want to now that some power gamer TM has represented it as the level where elitest's hold court.

I hope I find gold to be a greater challenge than silver now silvers gotten a easier to handle, but I also hope that I find cool, laidback gamers with not just the skills but the mind view that sometimes things won't go the way we want things to.

There really should be a higher level than Gold. There should be an elite level where only the best of the best could survive, where winning wouldn't be possible with even one weak teammate, and farming would be near impossible. And the reward would be like 1.5-2 times the credits of Gold.

I played a Silver game last night and agreed with this. Then I realized something. I've played Gold and nothing but Gold for the last 2 months. I was also using a QMI with a Harrier and Warfighter package.

So of course it was easy for me. But not everyone has the experience and weapons/gear that I do. Considering its position as a middle ground and its reward, I think it's fine.

I mainly play silver and when you don't have many on your friends list that play ME3 and spend a lot of time playing with idiots who'll gladly rush in with their level 1 Vanguard human and promptly get slaughtered, silver is just fine as it is. Having only tried gold a few times it goes without saying a good team with characters that complement one another are key, but perhaps Ryan_H is so good he can beat gold alone. Oh no, wait. The fact he started this thread complaining about how useless us silver players are proves not. Maybe it is the case that these useless players that keep letting him down are in fact just idiots that went from bronze to gold. Or worse, from getting the game to gold.

The points I'd like to make are, the levels are fine as they are, all players are not on the same skill level and if they made them any harder they risk alienating the people of lower skill levels who enjoy playing the game. Someone put that they should introduce a platinum level. Maybe they should, but I'd rather they increased the number of waves and have them continue to increase in difficulty. That would bring greater challenge to all levels of play.

Weapons aren't very efficient on gold, unless you are playing infiltrator or soldier.  The people who are saying that gold is easy are either full of doo-doo, or playing in private matches.  In theory gold can be won pretty easily with three combinations: three biotic classes and an infiltrator, an All tech team, or an all weapons teams with soldiers and infiltrators.  With randoms, I find it is really hard to find people who will work together.

The reason that farming is so successful, is that people know what to do and how to work together.  All Gold matches would be simple if that were always the case.

Dafuq? Silver is difficult enough. Just because it's easy for you doesn't mean it is for everybody. Not everybody is amazing at this game. I play a lot of Gold with buddies, and quite a bit of silver too. Silver is still a challenge at times, if not as challenging as gold.

In my case i am very dependent on my sniper rifle the widow (1 shot magazine) and powers are an added advantage but in gold ..even the assualt trooper doesnt die with one shot unless a head shot ..so even if i want to support my teammates i simply cant coz i am getting swarmed while i f*****g reload after every shot .. although i am a good shot and i know what to do .. i simply get overwhelmed after few waves ..especially by geth primes

Thus, Infiltrators aren't overpowered.
