You may want to have a look at the various player made mods available for PC. These can change/improve gameplay in various ways, adding value to future playthroughs. One great site to look for mods is the DA Nexus. Cheers!

There are small differences even in gameplay mechanics.
But the most obvious is how much easier it is to control on the PC.
Oh and of course you can mod the PC version however you like.

There's a huge difference if you use mods! (which imo is the primary reason to use the PC version of a game rather than console)
I highly recommend Advanced Tactics, Advanced Party, JX Dragon Age Extended, and Quests & Legends. There are of course many other amazing mods, but this set improves all aspects of combat and makes it so much more fun. JX also adds three new classes: Warlock (Magi or Dalish origin), Ritualist (Magi origin), and Spirit Eater (any origin). If you've already done a large number of playthroughs, having a new class really helps keep things interesting.
Q&L adds about 50 hours of gameplay in addition to throwing knives and the ability to use them.

I also recommend the Dalish Mage mod (with Dalish Mage dialogs) if JX doesn't cover/conflict with it. I also use a custom UI, restored Morrigan dialogs, and fixed epilogue cards, among others.
The first mod I ever installed was White Teeth and it's still there after all these years. My first orgin was Human Noble and when my character's father grimaced I was like "ewww yellow teeth!".
