Liara as a LI. She was so cute, smart and innocent, compassionate in ME1. But it was ME2 that made Liara grow on me.
In ME2 she changed a lot because of Shepard 's death and the price she had to pay for bringing back Shepard's body. A living friend for the body of Shepard. She became cold and distant but inside she is still Liara in ME1, but she's burdened with immense guilt and regret. She tried to hide it, but it leaked out in some moments: when she first met Shepard again in ME2, and when She confessed everything to Shepard, told Shep that she couldn't get over Shep's death, couldn't "let you go." She was afraid that Shepard would hate her because of that.
LotSB DLC: Liara tried to hide her feeling again but when she completed her goal: saving Feron, taking revenge on SB for selling Shep's body. She couldn't hide it anymore and she kissed Shepard but still tried to find a reason " we're different people, you have your mission and ..." Shepard had his/her chance to comfirm his/her love for Liara right there. The paragon interrupt kiss was awesome. She is the only one that ask Shepard "How are you really doing, not what you tell your squad to keep moral up?". She loves Shepard but didn't want to put pressure on Shep, and two years of mounting his/her death can't just disappear. But Shepard still loved her and hoped for a future "marriage old age and lot of little blue children" in a joke. She/he promised to Liara that "I'm always coming back to you".
Liara makes me write fanfiction and draw fanart. I never did those things before. I admit I have a pixel-crush on Liara.
Sorry for my crappy English.
Did one LI grow on you or become your favorite as the series progressed?

As a male playing as femshep (dont like meers voice) i don't have the luxury of choice, Liara is the only LI that has been there since ME1.

I romanced Liara in ME1 only because I found Kaidan boring back then. I started to really like her when I played LotSB.

Tali and Liara both grew on me. In all my playthroughs, one or the other was romanced. I just feel that the Romance for both of them was beautifully written. But on playthroughs where I romanced Tali, I still felt a general "Liara is deff a little sister" feeling. Overall, I think that characters from ME 1 made very good transitions over to ME 2 and ME 3.
Next to that, the camaraderie that developed between Garrus and Shepard was also awesome. I generally got the feeling that if it was all real, they'd be best buds. Which makes that ending so terrible.. To see Garrus AND Liara walk out of the Normandy at the end, I was like "WTF, they'd never do that."

not one LI, but in ME1 my fave was Liara, then Kelly (though technically not a LI) in ME2, and finally Samantha in ME3.

The more I played, the less the LI's interested me.
For some reason, I just didn't feel like investing any time towards that and actually started avoiding the romance tracks.

Garrus hands down without even having to think of an answer.
I just thought he was neat in 1 and liked the mentor type relationship Shep had with him. I remember squealing in excitment when Archangel took off that helmet for the first time and then wanting to cry when he got shot moments later. I liked him lots in 1 but I fell in love with him in 2. I never thought about romancing him but when that option opened up in 2 I had to take it. At first just to see what would happen (I mean who could pass up even trying with their favorite character) but it made me love him even more.
Tali also grew on me. I wouldn't rate her as one of my favorite characters but having her with me for 3 games really changed my opinion of her as I watched her grow and change. She went from me ignoring her in ME1 to me being so happy to have given her a home in 3.

Well, Kaidan has been my favourite LI since the beginning
...and I loved him even more as the series progressed. Especially with ME3
. Not too long ago though, I created a MaleShep for Tali. I quite liked her before, and was surprised at how her romance grew on me. Her character in general has grown on me, I was merely neutral about her when I first played the series, but now she's one of my favourite characters and also one of my fav romances for GuyShep
