Kaiden - (Bad) Shot down by your former boo, "It's been an honor".
(Good) A "quick drink" turns into "Hot Coffee"

Garrus - Special date turns into a sniper battle. Real romantic.

Ashley - (Bad) You, or squaddie, gives her a bullet to the belly and she gives you a F-U
(Good) Apparently Marines bang with their bra's on?

Tali - A scene so sweet it'll rot out your teeth if you watch it too much

Jacob - He got some other broad preggers. So you can take all that ME2 love and go F*CK yourself.

Vega - Too busy doing pull-ups. Come back later. (But later never comes)

Cortez - Grab a beer, eat some steak and watch the game. (I didn't watch it but that's what I assume happens).

Liara -  Makes her embrace all kinds of eternity, and quite possibly the best love scene in the game (proving once and for all the Liara bias BW has). A nice mind meld and a kiss at the end.

Kelly Chambers - You two bang in a dirty refugee camp.

Traynor - I don't even know how two women can make love.....unless they, kind of, scissor or something.

Miranda - Shepard assumes direct control of dat azz in someone elses apartment room. Seriously, the renter will be back in a minute, but do they care, NO.

Diana Allers - ..........................................moving on.

Jack - Punch in the face>>>>Kiss>>>>Dance at a club (Slow clap for Bioware)

Thane - Just dies

Hope you enjoyed my take on the ME3 romances. And in case you were wondering, I romanced Jack. Now can I please get my genetically born biotic son?

You make them sound so cheap.

All my romances can be bought with alcohol.

they could have done sooo much more with the romances .. to quote myself. from my own personal review...

NovaBlastMarketing wrote...

Romance 5
The fact that you don't get Ashley till partway though the game was a bit of a bummer but at least it made sense with a plausible reason that fit into the plotline. The biggest disappointment was the fact that there was really only a small number of interactions and comments about it and I think the final night scene in ME1 was better than that of ME3.

Although There was so much more they could have done this has been an issues in all three games as well as both Dragon age games. The ultimate would have been some sort of major scene after every mission and at least new comments after sub missions.

Some of those scenes could have been they go dancing at purgatory , they have drinks there they go shopping in the presidium, they find a scenic place and just cuddle.unlike Liara EDI and Joker she didn't even hang out on the citadel

There were no comments about your relationship form the rest of the crew. No one said i think you and ash make a great couple or anything else. Also what's up with her just sitting alone in the lounge area. They could have had her move in with you and hung out there .

That in itself could have opened up a ton of other opportunities . They could have make a repeatable and permanent menu with activities you can choose from at any time . cuddling, making out , taking a shower dancing, similar to what they did with the Kelly Chambers interactions, It just felt like it was too short and not given enough attention.

Also why would you take a major romance character like miranda and just reduce her to cameos, the alliance proved that they were willing to take on ex cerabus scientests and Miranda could have been a valuable asset to the team and been a catalyst for more sub quests. just sayin,,,

You are missing Tali, but otherwise pretty accurate.

That about sums things up.

After some great writing for the romances and relationships in ME1&2 (though, don't even get me started on the "be alive with me tonight" line in the Thane romance, /puke), it's like BW decided to give us "jack" for romances in ME3.

As I've said before, Bioware/EA lost sight of the wants and expectations of their core audience somehow. ME players play for the RP. Just look at the posts in these forums. The Romance&Character forum alone has over a half a million replies. The Story forums have almost 3 times that. Players care deeply about these characters, and spend significant amounts of time on these forums discussing them.

Relationships, romances, decisions, heavy plot lines, deep characters that resonate emotion, and above all, fantastic writing. I'd say that generally, writers did this very successfully in ME1, and better yet in ME2. In ME3, I kept waiting and hoping for it to get better, and it only got worse. And worse :(

I found my one and only play-through traumatizing. I have no desire to repeat it. I've played ME2 a half dozen times by now (completionist play-throughs), and ME1 almost as much. I have all the DLCs. I plan on to keep playing them. ME3...not-so-much. Anything else that Bioware/EA puts out...not-so-much. They have let me down too much at this point.

They have also shown that they are out-of-touch and care very little about their female fan-base. After all, girls don't game, right?

I could go on, but why bother? We can keep protesting, but I'm honestly not sure they care. They seem pretty hell-bent on not doing anything under the guise of maintaining "artistic integrity". Or, at most "clarifying" the ending with a few more cut scenes, in an attempt to appease the masses. It would take a whole lot more than this to fix everything wrong with ME3.

I think I need more coffee. This post came off a bit more gloomy than I intended....

I think Bioware lost touch with their core fanbase since Dragon Age 2. I dont think that Me3 is a bad game or that the romances are bad at all but problem is they are missing content, otherwise they have a lot of potential. A few more cutscenes and something in the lines of what NovaBlastMarketing suggested would have been awsome.

If you didn't romance walter's waifu, then you have an incomplete romance.

Everyone: Where gonna die! Let's have quick sex in our shorts!
Shep: OK!

Liara; Where gonna die! Lets have quick sex while you wear your shorts!
Shep: OK!

Vega: Where gonna die! I am out!
FemShep: WTF?

Bioware has lost their Core Fan Base I agree the Stupidity started with Dragon Age 2 and then it moved into Mass Effect 3 way to go Bioware whats next are you ganna release Jade Empire 2 and ruin that as well.

I believe the Romances are all mostly bad unless you romanced Liara,Garrus,Tali or Kaiden the rest are cheap and bad.

I rank the Romances as Follows the Top being the Best on down to the worst.
Liara T'Soni
Garrus Vakarian
Kaiden Alenko
Tali'Zorah vas Neema
Miranda Lawson
Jack
Ashley Williams
Kelly Chambers
Steve Cortez
Samantha Traynor
Thane Krios
Jacob Taylor

Also another thing I think Bioware shouldn't have wasted resources even making Cortez/Traynor Romance Options If Bioware was making Kaiden Bi Sexual in Mass Effect 3 why waste time with Cortez The Same could be said about Traynor Instead they should have kept Kelly on board the Normandy.

I believe Bioware didn't make Vega a option intentionally because I have said for sometime now Vega will be the next Protaginist of the next Mass Effect Game or maybe a Trilogy.

Umm, Samantha Traynor is the best new character in ME3, bar none. I intend to play through again with a female Shepard just to romance her.

I appreciated the Cortez romance. It's basically the same as the Cortez friendship path, except that you dance together at Purgatory, and he tries to cheer you up after your last nightmare.

And he's shipwrecked with Joker and Garrus on a mysterious island. ^^~
