After finishing the game, the game seems to simply load my last save on the Normandy. I know this because the autosave on the Normandy has less playtime than the 'restart mission' save for the final mission. Does this mean that the decisions at the end of the game are never saved to anything? =/

I don't really want to play any more of the game until I find the answer to this or I'll lose my 'restart mission' save... Is it not like the previous games where the game puts you back on the Normandy, says 'this happened before the final mission' but also saves what you did at the end?   

EDIT: So there is a save on completion of the game because you can use it for NewGame+, but it's odd that I can't use that save for DLC and such
