PLEASE!! This thread is not about IT or denial about the ending... It's about Bioware going above and beyond expectation!

Did we play the same ME3? BioWare failed to meet expectations in just about every aspect.

THIS!!! Is exactly the type of comment that I was talking about NOT doing in this thread... I repeat, this thread is NOT about accusing Bioware...

Well...I would like to see that Bioware has an ace hidden up their sleeve that they wanted to play after the release to blow their audience away...

Their talent so far as well as some strange tweets and comments are indicating this...their rather...weird behaviour at the moment (silence!) might point into another direction.

But then...maybe they just didn't expect this shiatstorm to happen and keep so quiet because any word too much could only spark the flames again? It is a pretty new situation for the gaming industry and their PR

Hmm...I won't give up hope until the EC is released that Bioware gives their fans and one of the most iconig videogame-heroes a worthy ending, and it doesn't matter really how they do it, or what happened before...I could forgive them, for Shepard's sake...she deserves so much more than the current last five minutes...

But I like using circular logic to prove Bioware are terrible writers!

"Clarification and closure" as told by Bioware themselves.

And how is that in any way a decleration of no gameplay?

Wait. Define "gameplay".Because I see where you are heading.
Because if the extended cut allows us to roam around the Normandy talking with our companions after the ending, that is not gameplay to me. Gameplay is shooting things.
What I do mean is the EC will not bring new shooting sections.Which should be common sense given the summer release date.
What do you define as gameplay?

wishful thinking, we will only be explained how the Galaxy is screwed and why the Normandy crashed to become a tribe of inbreed freaks, but the fact is that the Galaxy is still screwed and the Normandy will still become a tribe of inbreed freaks

the EC is nothing but cutscenes. No gameplay. Game play takes playtesting and bug-finding. No time for that.IT requires new gameplay. No gameplay = no IT.

For the ten millionth time: it is not stated anywhere whatsoever that EC is nothing but cutscenes. Can everyone please stop spreading misinformation?

Your continued enthusiasm is encouraging, most organics would have given up on the notion of hope by now.

I have no idea if EC will contain shooting things or not and can't until Bioware tells us or it's released. I do define gameplay as something the player has control over, by the way.

That's the problem when we talk about the EC. For me it's the same to see shepard talking to miranda in a cutscene with a dialogue wheel, than actually controlling shepard and make him walk to miranda and triggering a cutscene with a dialogue wheel. That can not be considered new gameplay when we talk about the EC.

A Harbinger fight is new gameplay. A corridor where you walk in and talk to the squadmates with nothing else happening is not.
So I stand my point. EC will not have new gameplay.

P.S. I sincerely HOPE I'm wrong. But I feel I won't.

Yes, this has a longer development cycle than LotSB and that cost millions of dollars.

It isn't cheap to render things, or hire voice actors OR pay employees for work that you won't see a return investment on.

"Big" is debatable, cheap is not.

LOL

Then what do you call the abomination that was ME3?

I don't think I have ever seen so many plotholes in one game.

Yes, I do agree that EC is definitely going to be much, much more then what some people think it'll be. What that is, we'll just have to play the waiting game and hope for the best.

Haven't played all that many games, I suppose. Abomination? Have you ever played an actually bad game, seriously?

Bias and hyperbole, a deadly mix.

Now ON TOPIC:

Maybe they are. Maybe they aren't. We'll find out. The LONG DEV cycle (Longer than LOTSB!) gives me hope.

We'll see soon enough.

No ladies and gentlemen, Alien Resurrection was an abomination.

The ending was bad, and can be fixed with the EC.

Gaping plotholes, loose-ends, dumbed down content isn't at all biased.

Sorry that you didn't realize these things.

Doesn't take a college level literature analyst to see this sort of stuff.

We shall see...and that right there is the most definite answer that will appear in this thread.

Also, the thread will derail into an ending fight, it is inevitable.
