And no, actually ME2 wasn't dumbed down compared to ME3. ME2 still kept the dialogue wheel, and wasn't 90% auto dialogue.
This, so much.
Except: ME3 isn't 90% "auto dialogue". Never mind the rest.
But please, continue spewing venom in a positive, hopeful thread. The enviroment isn't toxic enough yet.

Oh, but it is.
And I'm not spewing venom in a positive hopeful thread just for the sake of being a negative old bastard (that just comes naturally to me without trying). Nor am I trying to kill your positive, hopeful thread. For one, it's gonna end up killing itself once the EC comes out :v

Except that it is. ME3 takes Shepard away from you, and feels even more stream-lined.
I like your blind-optimism, but letting Bioware get away with this sort of crap means they will never change their ways.
Sorry that some of us devoted to the ME galaxy/lore fans can't tune out this complete and utter butchering of a great sci-fi/RPG series.

Please! Stay on topic and stay respectful! Thank you Persephone for your well placed and spot on sarcasm! Some people need to understand that enough dirt has been spread already...
I have no respect for Bioware. Well, very little left. :v There's 'respectful' and then there's just blind optimism and just an appaling amount of blind faith in Bioware. I, for one, spent a lot of money on this game, only to get a result I didn't like and a lot of people share that sentiment. I feel I am justified in having a lack of respect for Bioware/EA.

Also, the thread will derail into an ending fight, it is inevitable.

Yes, because only those who feel that way are devoted to the ME lore/galaxy. Only they are "true" fans. Only they "get it". We peasants who enjoyed all three games really need a lesson, I suppose.

What if, with all due respect and honnest desire to surprise the fan base, Bioware intended the EC to be more than it is advertised to be?

They were planning something big. It was called Mass Effect 3. No offense to the IT peeps, but I want my explanations in the game. If I want to read something, scratch my head, and wonder how someone could come up with something so exquisitely made of nonsense (such as the ME3 ending, not the IT itself), I'd go read Foucault again and start getting into arguments with post-modern deconstructionists. I'm sure IT is great, but it's not in the game. The game was supposed to explain the ending, not the fans on the forums. My opinion, anyway.

I have no complaints with ANYTHING in Mass Effect up until the execution of the endings. Nothing. Not one gripe. They can fix the execution in the EC.
If Shepard has Miranda, I won't have anything left to complain about.
But I'll still hate Synthesis.

Not even the autodialogue? Or the massacring of dialogue full stop?
Not a tinsy bit?

My Shepard was like me, talk, talk, talk. Be a smartass. I don't need to choose every descision to have him be like me.
Sometimes thematic material is more important than features. Some of my favorite moments in the trilogy, and gaming occur in ME3.
I didn't even notice the auto-dialouge I'm sorry to say, because I was so engrossed.

Well everyone to their own.
Autodialogue and the copious amounts of Zaeed-like dialogue on the Normandy frustrate me to no end.
NO END!

Just to make things clear, not all IDT supporters disagree with your viewpoint. It's total BS that I got a game without a definitive conclusion.

On-topic: no, they won't make anything epic. Or, to be precise, I don't believe they will. They lied to us too many times, didn't they? Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - shame on me. I won't let EAware fool me again. I've deleted the game already, and I'm not sure I'll even try EC.

the EC is nothing but cutscenes. No gameplay. Game play takes playtesting and bug-finding. No time for that.IT requires new gameplay. No gameplay = no IT.
Says who? Bioware?.......
Because everything they've said about ME3 up until now has been 100% truthful, right?
