I think you're expecting too much out of a company that spent $250 million on an MMO that failed.Taboo-XX wrote...
Yes, this has a longer development cycle than LotSB and that cost millions of dollars.
It isn't cheap to render things, or hire voice actors OR pay employees for work that you won't see a return investment on.
Just sayin'.

LI reunion doesn't matter to me. The other plot holes, removal of player agency, lack of taking into account past decisions, etc. matter a hell of a lot more.

Trust me when I say that they have no ****ing clue what people want to see in films either. That's why they do the same **** EVERY year.
Executives care about the return investment, and Mass Effect has made well over two hundred million dollars.

Because Hudson and Walters are FAR from exects. Both are truly ****ing nerdy and love Sci Fi, which is why the EA meddling is a pretty inviting theory at this point. They have done this in the past, ruined a franchise and studio so they can liquidate and cash in on the assets.

What if, with all due respect and honnest desire to surprise the fan base, Bioware intended the EC to be more than it is advertised to be?
No one would ever hold them responsible to have shamlessly added more than anticipated in the EC... What if Bioware was preparing something big? Something like the IT or something completely different. Something we did not even think of that would blow our minds and to launch this title to unexpected greatness?
Please! Refrain yourself from insulting or accusing Bioware... Thank you!
P.S. This thread is not about IT and IT will not be discussed here!!!
I think the ship has sailed on miraculous last minute saves from our favorite developer OP. Sailed and sank and is lost for all time.
But if you want to believe that, go ahead. Just keep yourself from putting to much faith in BW, you'll get hurt again.

2. Generic games based on popular trends. This message has been brought to you by CoD and MWF.
3. Shift from actual gameplay to "ooh, pretty pixels".
4. Shift from niche eclectic games to broad generalized product that offers everyone nothing for an over priced something.
5. Shift from entertainment form to "art".
6. Over budgeted under developed games that recieve multi million dollar marketing schemes to swindle you out of your money.
7. GAME PLAY TRAILERS that are no longer game play trailers but short cinematic scenes that are of zero relevance to the actual content of the games.
8. Product saturation in other forms of media.
9. Having to pay top shelf price or physical copy price for digital products.
10. Inability to adapt to technology that stagnates the release of content, the quality of content, and enables the claim for use of "DRM" like online requirements for games not associated with multiplayer or contain a MP component.
The video game industry is a lot like Hollywood.

No, I thought you were talking about EA interference. Stop consfusing ME Robert.
EA did not write the script. You and I both know that a bad ending in writing can make all the other flaws visible. Had Walters and Hudson not fumbled the ball at the end there wouldn't be as much of an issue.
EA would not have let it out the door had they known they would lose money. I know you understand that.
Walters wrote some crap and very few people can turn that into gold.

And I agree EA wouldn't have let it out the door had they known...But they didn't because they knew they could get away with it. I would say this is 60% Hudson and 40% EA doing what they do best, ****ing over a franchise.
The EC is going to be nothing more than additional scenes and some crap about why those **** choices did what they did. Then when we all ask why it took them five months to produce it they will say "But that MP content! You liked that, right?"
I bet money this will happen.

They have alluded to more than just that, especially when Mr. Gamble came on the forums personally and said that they could rework dialogue with the Star Child. Same ****, new form.
As I've stated before, I despise Synthesis but will retain the validity of Destroy. I don't have much of a choice.
I've also prepared a head canon, and should the EC not be satisfactory.
Tough ****** if Bioware wants to take that away, all interpretations are valid.

Destroy is IT and my control playthrough will be Shep dies but everything else is left in place.
Other than that, we'll ust have to wait. I'm going to CC so I hope something will be revealed there.

I can only make assessments based upon experience. Bioware knows they ****ed up, the EC is an admission of that. Bioware wouldn't do it if they didn't care.
Hudson's relationship has been severly damaged because of this. I don't see him promoting much of anything without a **** load of scorn.
Also, I've never been to Comic Con and am extremely jealous.

My headcanon is the only comfort I have right now. I like it because it suits me best.
Art should never cause pain but this does and it hurts.
Thanks though.
