Nerfing everything in sight appeases the hardcore gamers at the expense of everyone else.

What are you talking about?A team with 4 infiltrators isn't gonna work , not on public , so everyone has their usages , there's a good reason why credits and experience is shared. And without this 'abuse' you'd probably struggle to complete objectives , if you wanna be such a jerk go play a competitive game , this is not one.If there's no aggro on you it's your responsability to kill things , if there's aggro on you you should keep it that way so someone else kills it.It's a class based co op game either learn it or move on.nicethugbert wrote...

The Krysae is stupid powerful relative to its ease of use. Requires less aiming than a AR and does more damage than a Black Widow, only in AoE form. If it wasn't a sniper rifle it'd be balanced, but on a Infiltrator it is just plain retarded.
Because Tac Cloak is the best power in the game: DUMP AGGRO ON TEAM, +90% to powers and weapons(not sniper rifles or melee), +140% to melee, +130% to sniper rifles. Nothing comes close. It's pure abuse on your team to dump aggro on them. Then you want to nerf the weapons that let them fight back against this abuse? Shame on you.

I think they're mostly score obsessed players. I don't care that much about score, I just like to actually kill the enemies I'm fighting. It's not like it's limited to the Krysae, either. I had one match where two players went around with Sabers and cryo rounds and fragged everything in sight (silver, mind you), and another where someone figured out that my heavy melee ALMOST kills most non-scrub enemies so they followed me around the entire match cleaning up all of my kills. It's not all that bad with most characters, but when I'm a vorcha or krogan it really starts to get on my nerves.IFR Deathcrush wrote...
I see what you're saying Zenrockoutcast. That my friend, is frustrating. But that's the epeen factor that no one can get rid of. Happened to me yesterday in a silver game. A kraysae X sniper kept killing my melee targets. Ah well, I figure it was a teenager with issues and moved on to another lobby. Personally I have only a lvl I and I used it solely on my qme. At lvl I, I come normally in 2nd or 3rd playing good support. No one complains about that!
But yeah, you're right, it's not all that bad. You try to avoid them, you finish out the match, and you find a different group after. I just have to vent about it sometimes.
Honestly, it sounds like you two are the score obsessed players.

Not really, I just like to actually get some kills. I don't play the game to watch someone demolish the whole area with a god mode weapon, I play to actually play. It doesn't bother me in gold, there are so many enemies pouring in from everywhere that it makes it a moot point. Silver is another story, though. And like I said, some classes like the vorcha rely on kills to do better damage, so if someone is killing eery enemy I engage then it's hampering my effectiveness.
As for nerfing tacloak, no other weapon does as much damage when you use it. Even the widows and the GPS take multiple shots to down enemies on gold using cloak, so why kill the power for all guns when it's just one gun that is creating a problem?

Don't play silver , simple , silver is not meant for people with krysae 10 , siper rifle amp V and infi lv 20.That belongs to gold , and even then , if you play U/U/G there wil be more than enough mob for you to care about.zenrockoutkast wrote...

That still won't stop people from saying the gun is op. For the nerfer's, if it's not the bw, it's op or complete garbage.

You all won't get more credits or XP for beating gold with everything nerfed.
It would make more sense if people asked to buff items instead and ask for a platinum mode that gives out more credits & XP. People who are looking for challenge can always play gold without spending all their skill points.
Bioware is nerfing everything so much that people are loosing interest in MP. Out of my 18 friends who originally played MP, only 1 remains... :-/

I don't use the Krysae, I'm complaining about people who abuse it in silver. I don't play gold very often because I spec my characters more for having fun and playing in unique ways than for straight-up optimization. I don't think my close-range, melee- centric vorcha would fare too well in gold.Rodrrigoww wrote...

What doesn't make sense is people whose primary motivation to continue playing a game is to earn virtual rewards which can only be used in said game. That's simply an addiction to a reward schedule. The rest of us actually need an engaging experience.BabyfaceAssassin wrote...

Also, I am not the one kicking players for using certain classes or weapons, for having low N7 levels or for the multitudes of other things people whine about on here. Did you misread my posts and think I said " people stole my kills nerf the weeeeaaaaappppoooonssss!", or were you content to just read into my playful comment and try and reply with a "gotcha!" Sentence?
Tell me, do you see my name on any of the threads complaining to high heaven about every little thing in this game? No? So please, help me understand where in my post did you see any hatred or talk of score hogging?
Huh, maybe you missed the part where I said I play support roles. Holy balls, we all know support roles net huge points!
Anyway, I'm not an elite in this game, I rarely hit top score. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

It kind of does make sense, since the game and the store are designed that way. Carrot on a stick or a "loot treadmill". I'd imagine that people generally play for fun, and part of that fun is getting new and more powerful items for your characters, there's a pretty huge industry built around the same ideas (MMORPGs).

-Bioware does not actually collect data which would determine whether your friends left because of "nerfs" or not.
-People lose interest in games once they exasperate their content. Mass Effect does not have enough content to really sustain interest for a very long period of time. This is not unique to Mass Effect and the population diminishing over time is not evidence of people being "driven off by changes."

Yet again, 75k in the pockets, you show all the non-inf non-Krysae noobs how this game should be played. Just hit the fire button like there was no tomorrow, watch everything die and your score board
Seriously speaking, I feel sorry for all the people that need to wield this seriously imbalanced, OP weapon to milk the Gold games and ruin the challenge for all the competent players. Sure it's developers fault that such a weapon went available with that stats (tbh exploding sniper rifle was a terrible idea since the same beginning as sniper rifles tend to own the field already) but in the end players decide if they are going to use - many decide to not go the easy way.

I don't particularly care one way or another if they nerf the Krysae a bit, or into uselesness, but what you describe isn't much different than say, 4 people playing grenade wielding classes rushing the spawns and obliterating them in seconds.

There were approximately 34 Nerfs. This includes fixes for things that were not intended such as Prime's having heads and the harriers level X weight. Also in this I've included Enemy buffs since thoes are technically nerfs to you.
So with that kind of ratio it's about 3.42 buffs per every nerf.
If your friends left because of all the 'Nerfing' going on, they can't do math.

Why is that everyone says it's op? I tried to use it on my Salarian infiltrator but I felt that it was weak.. used to shoot at brutes while cloaked with it and sometimes it used to do like only one or two bars of damage to it.. Feels like it sucks against armor
That's what I always say too. It sucks against the non-basic enemies, and it takes a few shots to take down the easiest enemies. The only thing is that with the AoE damage, it can hurt a lot of them at once. I don't think it's a great gun. I've only seen a few people use it effectively.

I'm pretty sure that the people on my list DO reflect the masses since people are dropping this game pretty fast (on Xbox according to Major Nelson).
...and YES Bioware does have data that shows how many people play ME and how often. It can't be too hard to do pulls after every "Tuesday's Nerfing updates" to see if the number of games played increased or dropped.
Finally, feel free to play Gold without using any skill points since you seem to be such a defender of "Nerfing all things"
