Since owning this game I have been able to log on to the servers about twice, I have probably tried well over 100 times. It will start trying to log in and after 30-60 seconds screen will change to stating that I am not connected to the internet. I live in a dial-up only area and I'm using windows 7. I have had no problems playing the game at all. The only issue for me is logging in to the server and also, it took over two weeks to download Shale's DLC because the download kept freezing up. Probably both issues are related. I have looked over these forums and I'm not alone with these issues. Some posters have said that some obvious solutions like turning off the firewall made no difference.
I wish they'd change the DLC's to a patch style download. I can download the patches without any problems at all.
Any ideas to help me would be greatly appreciated.

Since I posted this, there have been other posts talking about this problem looking for help. It would seen to me that someone from Bioware or EA could at least answer one of us with a possible solution or at least a "we're looking into it" to give us some hope of a fix.
