Ok my experiences so far:
Soloing is a lot of fun and very challenging. Here are some pros and cons.
Pros
- Very challenging and rewarding. Killing a boss is tough but afterwards you feel quite happy for a while

.
- You'll become a pro in Dragon Age. Since you're controlling only one character you'll find out lots of things you didn't know beforehand. For example: I discovered the usefulness of Herbalism, grenades and poisons.
- It's fun to look at your character sheet and your stats. Contribution to party damage: 100%. Total party kills: 150. Kills by your main character: 150.

- Complete your solo tour and Dragon Age has no more secrets for you. If you start a new game and begin to use your party, the game feels new again and you'll pwn everyone.
- Bioware intended you to use a party. So sometimes this leads to funny dialogues, like Alistair crying that it's all so tough while he hasn't killed a single enemy.
Cons
- No funny dialogues between party members.
- You'll feel quite lonely after a while :innocent:.
- As a
Warrior/Mage, all locked chests/doors remain locked to you.
- Lots of reloading. I killed the Ogre in the Tower of Ishal after more than 20 reloads.
- DW
Warrior: combat is always the same and is a bit boring.
Overall soloing an Arcane
Warrior (+Blood Mage) is more fun IMO. You have more options in battles (read: spells) which makes them more enjoyable. That doesn't mean soloing a DW
Warrior is boring, it's much more challenging than an Arcane
Warrior.
