After I recently played DAO with the Addon and DLCs (Golem and Which), I started a new run with DA2, 1st run was around half a year or longer ago. Anyway, I have some questions about DLCs and Friendship/Rivaly.
My basic plan is to Rivaly-Romance Fenris, keep Isabella, make Sebastian King and of course Pro-Mage End.
What I know, it is basically not important if a companion is Friend or Rivaly, it just needs to be 100% to keep those for the final fight, right?
Is it possible to bed other chars and still get "final romance" with Fenris? (I can remember seeing a video Anders and Fenris speaking about it and Isa made a final statement, might be nice to hear that too. :-)
How do Gifts influence the relationship, will those always give Friend-points or how do I control that so I get Fenris as rivaly because in fights I will oppose him, same with Carver, I want him 100% fivaly, should not be that hard I hope, how will DLC Legacy influence that? Does it matter if I get him to 100% for final fight.
I plan to play DLC Legacy around 2nd act and the Orlais around 3rd act, something I should know about?
thanks in advance... :-)
2nd run as Female-Mage

The gifts work for both friendship and rivalry, you just have to choose the appropriate convo options.
On my first playthrough I slept with Isabella, but ended up romancing Merrill ... I have no idea about Fenris romances lol

I think I'm telling the truth here...
1 To keep a companion in the final fights you must have completed their Questioning Beliefs quest in chapter 3, but I think a 100 % friendship/rivalry is also a guaranteed success. (Except maybe for Anders, but you won't be needing him :-) )
2 I'm pretty sure that you can NOT bed anyone except Fenris to continue with his romance.
3 Don't know anything about Legacy, but the gifts SHOULD push the friendship/rivalry meter further down the path you were heading. But it might help to be a jerk while giving them if you want rivalry points (If you don't mind reloading, you could save before hand just to be safe)
Hope this helped :-)

So long as you don't get "locked in" any other relationships you should be able to sleep with everyone. Just make sure you leave Fenris until last. Having Hawke sleep with everyone did make for some pretty funny banter. But my Hawke ended up with Merrill instead of Fenris (I wanted Hawke to get around to everyone but I just couldn't have her be mean to Merrill).

thanks so far, I also wonder, how much cunning I need for varric to go down the deep roads, will there already be complex chest (30) there? I have him at 20 now which I already needed, but I wonder if I also should start to invest some points in dex.
Edit: wow, everyone? :-o
Well, not sure I want to go that far, but If I understand it right, it does not matter for end fight? I have no clue anymore, how I start and end romances... will such decisions also influence the relationbar?

My advice is don't sleep with anyone else if you want to end up with Fenris. People say that they have succeeded in sleeping with all 4 and still keeping Fenris but it must be a very specific path in order to do so. Every time I sleep with Isabella, no matter what choices I make with regard to her, it stops the Fenris romance from being consumated. You may still get some flirt icons but he won't sleep with you. Unless it is only possible on a rivalry romance. Since I have never rivalled him, I wouldn't know about this. To get him to 100% rivalry usually requires you to be as blindly supportive of mage freedom as Anders is, to be pro rather than anti blood magic, supportive of Merrill rather than critcal, and at the very least to be neutral with regard to slavery and prepared to do deals with slavers or let them go rather than kill them.
Having someone at 100% is only important if you make a choice that is contrary to what they would normally support and with Sebastian the thing that really matters is whether or not you kill Anders. If you let him live then even if Sebastian is 100% friendship, he will leave you.

Hmm, now this is interesting, I always thought, it is easier as mage to get Fenris to rivaly than friendship, but of course I forgot about the slave support, which of course I would also like to support like Fenris, so you think, I can get 100% friendship and still support mages?
About Sebastian, to make him King, I need to get him rivaly, I thought, well that is what I remembered so far. It should not be that hard to get him there, I hope.
Finally to get as many as possible to a pro-mage end, I need Fenris and Sebastian at 100%, what is with isabella [Edit: or Aveline]?
Final Edit: was a nice gamethrough, some sleepless nights :-P Had all companions on 100% (Fenris and Sebastian at rivaly) I somehow failed to romance Fenris, bed the other 3 and sent them home afterwards but no romance option for fenris left, no clue, where I made the mistake there. Could it be because I flirted with Sebastian
