Howdy, long time... just fired up NWN the other day to take a break from some things.  Found an old PW I used to enjoy.  Module's broken... decided to run it myself for me and another player.  I had done this once before.

Easy to do. However... the module runs at lightspeed.  Everything is going 10x too fast.

I know I had this problem before, but I can not for the life of me remember how i fixed or where/if I found the solution online.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Did you set the server to run on only one core?

um... no. that doesn't ring a bell. I assume that's a switch in an ini or something?

I only see a setting in the ini for the client affinity.

Nwnplayer.ini - NWNWiki, the Neverwinter Nights Wiki - Wikia

I normally set the Server affinity via a command line option when running the server.

C:\\NeverwinterNights\\NWN\\nwserver.exe  -cpu 3

Where the number is the core number you want to run the server on.   I have 4 cores on this CPU  numbered 0 through 3.

I am not sure if running on a single core is as important as it is to the clients.   I mainly do it so that the Server can have its own core and I then run everything else on the other three.

You can also change the cores something is already running on by opening up Task Manager in windows rightclicking on the process and selecting the cores you want it to run on .

manually setting to a single core in task manager did the trick, thank you VERY much!
