when i started playing mp, i never really cared about score and i sort of looked down on people who did.  i played for group extraction and credits.

now that all i need are ultra rares and the new gear slot items- and all i get are f-ing krogan soldiers and asari adepts- i'm experienceing hugely diminishing returns for my credits.

i tell myself i'm just playing for the game, and yes, it's nice to score big even though it doesn't matter, but having gotten in the habit of grinding credits for a reward...when that reward drops off, the whole game feels less cool and more lame with each useless psp i open.

how about you?

Play for fun till you wear it out? It's all about gameplay. At some point they need to introduce entirely new MP stuff if it'll stay alive a year from now

I play for a strange alien concept I learned from a far away planet.
It's called fun.

Now granted I want lots of credits because the RNG trolls me all day, and I want to unlock the new charactors so I can experience the game in a different way with different ability sets.

Why does it have to be that simple? Why can't I play for several factors? Maybe I like fun. Maybe I like winning. Maybe I like credits and unlocking. Maybe I even like a challenge. Maybe I like them all.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeee Eeeeeffffffffffffffffffffff Skinner.

The random carrot, very occasionally rewarded from that trolling store.
I cannot say enough horrible things about the RNG store.

/on topic: I play with friends because blowing things up is fun.
But then again, I'm new to online shootery games.

People would not play for score and for credits if it were not also fun.

I think.

It's always good to wind down for bed time. Not many games can hold my attention for as long as this one has, so I'm not really shocked it's starting to get a bit stale. It's still good in small does though, and the events certainly help to keep me coming back...at least for now. :)

Well, Pavlov's dogs, yes. But the ideas of operant psychology still apply, here.

The *potential* for a reward is always more tempting than a guaranteed reward. Weird.
