And just in case any of you are wondering. Joker and EDI can have children ONLY if you choose synthesis, and then they are iChildren.

MacOS operating system? I'm okay with that.

I find gigantic breasts and metal hair that doesn't move a turn off.. Fortunately this allowed me to concentrate on EDI's personality and how it evolved over the course of the game, which I quite enjoyed.

Maybe the boobs store extra processing power or backup batteries or something?

Actually that would be great, Put her CPU in those massive boobs to make people that stare at them not seem shallow! Oh EDI.. your brain is so sexy!

I could point you to a disturbing fanfiction...

There are plenty of fun tales there...my sweet.

I'm ashamed to admit this.. but I have a morbid curiousity now.. Posted Image

 hey,

So, does anyone else hate the new EDI?

I loved EDI back in ME2 when she was just a floating orb with a voice.

but in ME3 i just can't stand her. I mean first she gets a fembot body like something from an Austin Powers movie, and then all that "how can I be human" questions she asks Shepard. plus she is not helpful in combat what so ever.

so yeah, does anyone else completely hate the new EDI?

EDI and her current situation was a very important plot device to ME:3.
The whole Organic vs Synthetic theme needed a face we could sympathize with on both sides.

Since Joker loved his ship and, in essense, EDI was the Normandy; we could sympathize with the synthetics a little more than if it was only Legion.

Also, think about those who didn't play ME1 and ME2 - they wouldn't even know who Legion was.

I'm assuming I can link this, it's rated the same as the game.

Hell, EDI's entire purpose is remote data-mining and cyber warfare.

Exactly. She's like your handler and angel guardian. And I feel a bit irritated that we could have Miranda or Grunt or Thane(just 1-2 missions) from former team but we got EDI.

You don't like bringing along the Formerly Cerberus bot to bring down Cerberus, which has oodles and oodles of knowledge on the insides of the operation?

EDI can easily tell all that without even leaving Normandy.

You make that assumption, belied by so many confounding variables.

Try playing Suicide mission again. Guess who is guiding you on Collectors' Base?

Try remembering that the Collector base had no internal security.

EDI's evolution from a simple AI controlling a limited number of systems to an intelligence much akin to our own, capable of reason, morality, and individuality was beautiful.

Heavily agreed.

+1.

It was so hard to be mean to her.  It also made Destroy really painful.

They didn't expect anybody to make it to the base, so they don't have one. It is said when the Normandy crashes onto the Collector Base.

The Collector base had no internal security for EDI to contend with. Watch the cutscene after the crash.

Garrus has to be about the most useless squadmate in the game. His AI is the worst I've seen. Did he get stupid? Liara is more durable, and asari are soft or maybe she just knows when to duck.

I liked her. Upon replaying the games it's also interesting to see the changes in EDI's behavior when she is unshackled. Also, I found her to be pretty useful in combat. I got a lot of use out of Decoy.

I think it's kind of annoying that people have made threads like these for literally every character.

Therefore, by your own twisted logic. She is Perfect.

As a slave, her existence was bearable.
