I liked her in ME2, in ME3 I'm just annoyed by her. She changed a lot between the games, and not for the better.

Change?

What?

EDI didn't change at all between games, although she actually had some sort of character development in ME3.

Not to mention the whole having romantic feelings for EDI is just plain ****ing weird.

Like I said...she should have just stayed a floating image on the Normandy, and leave the squad-mate slot for someone else.

Just like guys having feelings for other guys is weird too, right?

Or, maybe, them white girls shouldn't be lookin' at them black boys with those romantic eyes and such.

No, it's like a guy having feelings for a blender.

Holy crap, apples and oranges, much?

No, not apples and oranges, your categorization is wrong.

Is is wrong for Shepard to have feelings for Garrus? Or Tali? Or Liara?

Not hate for EDI, just apathy. Thanks to ME3, my hatred is firmly on Joker. God, but I wished my Shepard could throw his ass out the air lock to shut him up. I heard Bioware allowed the VA to add lib. That was a mistake.

So...EDI is a organic with a working reproductive system that can return intimacy both emotionally and physically?

Not the best example you could have used.

I don't think she was at all different from ME2, I liked her just fine as a squad member, and Defense Matrix was an awesome bonus power. Just want to say I don't think Eva's name is just meant as an allegory for Eve. Eva Core was the woman in the Illusive Man's merc group from the comics, she's named after her.

I wasn't aware that you had a blender complete with emotions, linguistics, modification of understanding, reason, and a nice cyber-warfare suite. I could go on.

So you must have a working reproductive system in order to return intimacy?

You're a bigot.

Lol

Yeah, love/romance leads to sex.

You know, something that has been happening since the dawn of time.

You're ignorant.

Sex isn't a requirement for love, romance, or intimacy. Do you always let your penis do your thinking for you?

But leads to it.

Not sure why you have trouble grasping this.

Do you always make dumb assumptions?

Not always, says I. I also parry the question, yet again: do you always let your penis do your thinking for you? I fear I may not receive an answer, yet again, because it actually is

Do you always make dumb assumptions?

Says the person stating such semantically betraying statements as, "Love/romance leads to sex."

She has a very noticeable ****** in one of her outifts and if you go down to the Med-Bay you can hear Joker asking Mordin for advice with EDI.

I think its safe to say the body has the proper equipment for sexual intimacy.

Me. Can't stand her. And her becoming a real boy makes me gag.

Granted I was never fond of her in the first place but now? Bleh.

Add that and Joker just becomes creepy and pathetic over that sexbot body and ugh. Not only does she suck but she dragged one of my favorite characters with her.

EDI was easily one of my favourite characters in the trilogy, and I thought her personal story in ME3 was really good...

I don't really dislike EDI, though she takes a spot in our already small companion list, she could have done her job without having a body and without the horrible Joker/EDI love story.

Here story of my life.

Eventually had to stop talking to Joker. Because you cant even talk to Joker without Edi being there. And he was my favourite. Now he is pathetic.

Hmm the looks were over the top but on the other hand. If you ARE going to design a female infiltrating robot making it hot is obvious. Atleast they joked about it a bit.

It wasn't a favorite character thing in me3.

Also I don't think she wanted to BE human but rather try the human perspective as atleast a learning experience.

A consciousness+intelligence is a consciousness+intelligence no matter if it's flesh/blood, black/white, hardware/software, wood, metal, inflatables, toasters or the blender.

If it does depend on the unique makeup then you also open up for eg. genetic discrimination.

I sort of ignored the whole sex appeal direction they went with her. Just completely ignored it. This resulted in me liking her character in ME3.

I never noticed there was one until I came to these forums. She looked rather.. metallic to me.

I liked EDI as the ships computer in ME2.

But in ME3...not so much. She's taking up a valuable squadmate slot, and it seems like a waste. Not only did I generally find her useless in combat, but I found her to be bland and more then a little irritating. I don't know about you guys, but I never took her sexbot ANYWHERE. Well, there's the forced squadmate choice for TIM's base but that doesn't really count.

I preferred her as a floating orb on the ship. Not a fan of sexbots.

Joker becoming attracted to her after she started controlling the sexbot felt a bit cheap. Platonic love between orb EDI and Joker would've been much more interesting to me.

And the poor Shepards who wanted Joker as an LI get a dagger to the heart.

 hey,

So, does anyone else hate the new EDI?

I loved EDI back in ME2 when she was just a floating orb with a voice.

but in ME3 i just can't stand her. I mean first she gets a fembot body like something from an Austin Powers movie, and then all that "how can I be human" questions she asks Shepard. plus she is not helpful in combat what so ever.

so yeah, does anyone else completely hate the new EDI?

I didn't like how she got a whole new body and the whole romance with Joker. I liked the way she was back in ME2. But since I did like her as a character, I just go along with it now pretty much.
