Singleplayer DLC Ideas

Retaking Omega:
Okay, this is the obvious one. This thing has been teased in the main story and in the comic Aria starred in. We might expect a return to everyone's favorite den of scum and villainy. Not much more to say about it except that I've heard vague rumors about a supposed new squadmate called Vigilante. I don't know much about those rumors save that she, for the rumors I've heard says it's a she anyway, might be associated with this DLC.
Project Crucible:
I was always a bit bugged that we never got to visit where the Crucible was being built or where the fleets were gathering. So perhaps Cerberus will make an attempt at sabotage or try to take over the Crucible, prompting Shepard to make a visit. If we were to take a leaf from the Mass Effect Galaxy book, admittedly not necessarily a good idea, this could be used as an opportunity to introduce Randall from Mass Effect Infiltrator as the whistleblower that brings the conspiracy to light and a new squadmate.
Coats' Chronicles:
Not the best name, but I was thinking about the way that the Leliana's Song DLC followed a character besides the main and Major Coats. If we followed his story for awhile, we could get a great sense of what was going on on Earth this whole time through first hand visceral images.n This isn't really the sort of content I was suggesting earlier but I think it would be an interesting idea.
So, what are your ideas?

What I will say in general is, in past DL they didn't always add more to the dialogue of love interests. This time I kind of wish they would add more to them, to give more a sense that things were going on beyond the few cut scenes we get. Even if its just some added dialogue.
I'd also like more from Kasumi, who I understand is kind of a specialized character only avail through DL through ME2. She is such a great character

That would be good. They could even lay out the DLC like Tuchanka/Rannoch (a main priority mission and a couple of side missions).

including temporary squad used only for that pack consisting of 3 new and 3 existing characters depending on the player's progress in the game,
The 3 returning would be Miranda, Mordin, and Kasumi. (assuming they're alive)
The 3 new would be a Baterian, a Geth Prime (if you allied the Geth in Rannoch) and partially modified Racini Drone that's self thinking and can use alliance weapons (if you saved the Queen in ME1 and 3).
I'm also thinking of having the antagonist reveal to be a plot twist, no I'm not going to say what it is but I will say it will answer so many gamers questions about the Mass Relay explosions between Arrival and the ME3 ending which will be significantly altered if certain criteria is met.
Also at the end of the game you can take one of the 6 temp-squadmembers with you onto the Normandy to have as a permanent squadmate for the rest of the game.

From "Batarian Squadmate" topic (1 month ago)...
Forget the Krogan. We've had Krogan squadmates in the past 2 games, but never a Batarian.
Anyway, as for a potential Batarian squadmate... why not Balak?
Think about it; the DLC could make it so that he survives regardless of your decision in Bring Down the Sky ("you should've made sure I was dead" or something like that). After you encounter him on the Citadel, assuming you don't kill him, he comes back later and offers his aid in the fight against the Reapers if you'll help him and what's left of his military retake Khar 'Shan.
Rather than a single recruitment mission like with Javik, you could go with him to Khar' Shan to help the resistance movement drive off the Reapers, with some crazy plan similar to what the Turians and Krogan pulled off on Palaven (smuggling nukes onto Reaper harvester ships and detonating them when they docked with Sovereign-class Reaper capital ships). The post-Reaper invasion Batarian homeworld would look something like post-apocalyptic Pittsburg from Fallout 3's "The Pitt" DLC; very dark, very creepy.
Here's what you'd get with such a DLC, as I imagine it:
*Ka'hairal Balak*
*Powers
-Sabotage
-Sticky Grenades
-Ballistic Blades
-Submission Net
-Batarian Rebel (Passive)
*Weapons
-Sniper Rifles
-Sub-Machine Guns
*Appearence
Balak's default appearence would be a non-player version of the "Hahne-Kedar" armor set witha more weathered look to it (like Major Coat's alliance armor during final mission) and with the N7 markings removed and replaced with the insignia of the Batarian Hegemony.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Achievements*
*The Enemy of my Enemy
Recruit a former adversary.
-Unlocked when you first recruit Balak for your team.
*Guerilla
Aided resistance forces on a Reaper-occupied world.
-Complete all missions on Khar' Shan.
*Miracle Worker
Drive off a Reaper invasion.
-Liberate Khar' Shan from Reaper forces.
*Reconciliation
Make amends with a former adversary.
-Get to to know Balak aboard the Normandy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Unlockables*
*Ballistic Blades
One of the Batarian's powers in the Resurgance Pack DLC; can be unlocked as a bonus power in single-player through conversation with Balak aboard the Normandy.
*Submission Net
One of the Batarian Sentinal's powers in the Resurgance Pack DLC; can be unlocked as a bonus power in single-player through conversation with Balak aboard the Normandy.
*Kishock Harpoon Gun
Resurgance Pack DLC weapon; can be found in singe-player during the DLC missions or otherwise purchased from Batarian State arms on the Citadel upon installing the DLC.
*Striker Assault Rifle
Resurgance Pack DLC weapon; can be found in single-player during the DLC missions or otherwise purchased from Elkoss Combine Arsenal Supplies on the Citadel upon installing the DLC.
*Geth Plasma SMG
Resurgance Pack DLC weapon; can be purchased in single-player from Kanala Exports on the Citadel upon installing the DLC.
*War Asset --Batarian Resistance--
Additinal war assets are added to the Galaxy at War by completing missions on Khar' Shan. The number of missions completed, as well as decisions you make throughout the course of the DLC storyline, will affect this War Asset.
*War Asset --Ka'hairal Balak--
If you want, you can choose to give Balak the boot when the DLC is over and send him to lead Batarian forces on the front lines; if you do so, he counts as an additional War Asset.
*Multiplayer Map --Firebase Rebel--
Unlocked upon downloading the DLC. Set in a resistance stronghold in the ruins of a Batarian industrial city on Khar' Shan. Also the setting for one of the DLC's side missions in single-player.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Missions*
*Khar' Shan:Batarian Refugees
-Optional/Side Mission
-Set on the Firebase Rebel multiplayer map; land at a resistance stronghold in the ruins of an industrial city on Khar' Shan to aid the Batarians in evacuating refugees. Defend the stronghold from ground troops and kill or drive off any Harvesters that enter the area until the last evac shuttle departs.
*Khar' Shan:Ordnance Warehouse
-Priority Mission/Not Optional
-Infiltrate an underground storage facility used by the Batarian military to store nuclear weapons. Cerberus troops have set up demolition charges to destroy the facility; disarm them, the find the Cerberus command post in on of the hangers and use the unmanned ATLAS mech inside to destroy their dropships. When the base is secure, the nukes will be loaded onto a cargo train. Board the train and defend it from attacking Cerberus forces until it reaches the landing zone, where the Normandy can pick up the explosives and transport them to the resistance.
*Khar' Shan:Processor Plant
-Optional/Side Mission
-Infiltrate and destroy a Reaper processor plant established within the ruins of a city on Khar' Shan. the plant is being used to make Reaper troops, namely Cannibals; destroying it would take some of the heat off Batarian ground forces. Locate the plants main power source, and plant demolition charges to destroy the plant, then escape before it goes off.
*Khar' Shan:Recover Intel
-Optional/Side Mission
-Gain entry to the Hegemony's military HQ and recover data from the Leviathan project to indentify Indoctrinated Reaper agents within the resistance. The Indoctrinated agents will likely try to stop you; if they get in your way, deal with them. Recover the intel from the central lab where the Leviathan itself is kept, then get out.
*Priority:Khar' Shan I
-Priority Mission/Not Optional
-Land on the surface of Khar' Shan and fight your way through a burned-down forest to the Batarian's resistance base, located in an old underground bunker on the outskirts of one of their capital cities. Make contact with the resistance and hear their plan for driving the Reapers off of their homeworld.
*Priority:Khar' Shan II
-Priority Mission/Not Optional
-After completing at least the "Ordnance Warehouse" mission, you will be given the task of locating and capturing 3 Reaper harvester camps in the nearby city. Wipe out all Reaper forces at each of the camps and dsiable the harvesters ships so that resistance forces can land and load nukes onto the ships before dispatching them; demolition teams will be aboard the ships to insure that the nukes go off. The Batarians recovered ATLAS mechs from Cerberus forces on Khar' Shan to assist in the operation; you'll be able to use one when assaulting the final camp (the ATLAS you're given has been re-painted with Hegemony marking and doesn't have a smashed viewport like usual; it also still has shields). Batarian forces will be working to capture other camps throughout the city at the same time. Once you've finished with the final camp, the mission is complete, and you get to watch as Reapers explode in orbit after harvester ships dock with them with the nukes aboard.
NOTE: If you did not complete both the Processor Plant and Recover Intel missions, Balak dies; the last demolition team will be killed, and he will have to board the harvester ship in their place and detonate the nuke manually when it docks with one of the Reaper capital ships in orbit.
Well, that's all I got.

Maybe not Balak. If he's alive he's the only real military leader they have left and if he's dead, well, people hate having their choices disregarded

A good idea, but I don't think it should be Balak. He's one of the only important batarian characters we've seen in the series so it would be good to have someone new. Also, the choice needs to matter.

-Battle for Illium
-Something involving the Batarians. Maybe sort the whole Humans v Batarians thing out once and for all.
-Something involving the Yahg. I think Hackett was hinting at something when he mentioned the Reapers avoiding their homeworld.
-vehicles.

And also SOMETHING ABOUT DARK ENERGY. Because it was sort of built up to, it should still have some sort of pay off, even if it isn't the end of the purpose of the reapers.

Inbetween the Thessia mission and Horizon, it would be cool if Shepard and company were called to help out the Salarians, Asari, Turians, Krogan (if you have their support), Volus, Baterians, Vorcha, Elcor etc.
Retake Omega would be nice.
A longer retake Earth mission with all of your war assets accounted four (including the promoted classes from N7 Special forces).

On the Codex this is well known there are "Collector swarms" on Palaven It would be awesome if you had to send in Shepard and do some rescuing and some other shepardy-epicness and to add to that Some Collector enemies to multiplayer awwwww yeah =)

No but seriously, Shepard could get a tip via email stating disappearances like when the collectors first showed up. Then you fight through the remnants of a Collector base/ship. Also would be VERY INTERESTING as far as dialouge if you have javik with you. Yeah but I just really want to fight collectors lol
Of course the introduction of the collectors into ME3 could be tweaked like Adm. Hackett has reports of whole colonies vanishing before reaper invasion is evident or something. Yeah idk lol

The funny thing is that the Reapers in ME3 used collector swarms on Palaven.
