despite priority earth being my favourite mission for gameplay value, it could be better,
so here's my idea.
before going in, you can assign sword, hammar and shield fleets to positions.
hammar, there are targets + landing zones
then epic music plays and the fleets engage the reapers, with more space battle this time with your war assets in action.
then, you disable the hades cannon, as usual, but you get your entire party as squad members (use the lt, rt for switching things. kinect would work great with this)
after the cannon is down the reaper begins to get back up, so it's quick draw time! if you can use you targeting lazor to target the reaper befor it fires, YOU WIN!
the normandy thanixes the reaper if you WIN and picks you up, joker firing out the airlock, ala suicide mission,
several cutcenes of hammar landing, whoever gets assigned to destroy the destroyer lands on the other side of the themes, and they fight across tower bridge. lots of battles.
the normandy arrives at the fob, now with a save point, and there are lots of people to talk to, weapon level ups and customisation for all.
then same thng happens but shep gets every squad memeber (if they are still alive) form all 3 games, plus anderson,
same mission then, exept, you have to boss fight the reaper, ico and the shadow of the collosus style, by targeting, getting closer, climbing up and then plant a thanix core on its face, killing it.
the rest is same from there.

post AWAY!

Priority: Earth is so flawed that it would take an entire essay to explain everything wrong with it.

Nuke it from orbit, that's the only way to be sure.

I would have drawn the battle out a bit, then I would have implemented a Dragob Age: Origins-esque system that allowed Shepard to call on allied infantry and possibly air strikes.

That's all I would change really, without entirely altering the mission structure at a basic level.

Being more take Earth back than race to the conduit. Because it reminds me too much about the ME1 ending.

Indeed. All BioWare needed to do was look at the Suicide Mission for inspiration on how Priority Earth could've played out.

Epic assault throughout London with several makos. You control one, while the others are support. Then you beat the hell out of the Reaper Destroyer and arrive at that beam.

This right here. Throw in some DA:O origin ending where you get to call on some of your reinforcements to actually help with gameplay as well.

Oh and Harbinger taunting us.

anderson told me i was to be "up the gut" or on the frontlines. so why was i running through abandoned apartmets and side alleys with no support? let me charge the reaper lines guns blazing.

They should have had a number of instances where the war assets of the major species came into play, much like the suicide mission. If the war assets are high enough for that species, they are able to proceed with fewer casualties. If the war assets are too low, they are all but annihilated. For example, Shepard needs to get the Krogan through a hive of half collapsed buildings. if the War assets are high enough, the Krogan kill the husks attempting to collapse the buildings on top of them. If not, the buildings collapse and only a small number of Krogan emerge. Then Shepard could go the FOB and take a shuttle to help the Quarians and Geth take out an AA gun, ect.

In the final push, Shepard can call upon those surviving allies while facing down surreal numbers of Reaper forces (Far more than we ever experienced in single player) as the Javelin missiles are prepped. Pop goes the destroyer. I rather like the mad dash and near death up until the Catalyst appeared, so I'd like to leave that.

suicide mission 2.0 was really what was supposed to be in the game it was in the leaked script that u can assign assets to shielf fleet and so i assume you could do the same with hammer and sword and such and assign more and i still wish they implement this into the game...so many failed opportunities

More inclusion of war assets and interaction with the army you brought--perhaps being able to call on them (like you can in DAO) or assigning them to strategical places. I would have at least liked more scenes showing how they were doing.

Also, I was expecting an epic confrontation with Harby that included some dialogue. When Hackett said Harby was coming at me, I got all excited and scared at once. I thought, "Oh ****! Here it comes. This is it!" In the end, Harby said not a damn thing. It could have been some random reaper for all that it mattered. (Not even any taunts!)

A stop to the game after Anderson and Shep (no starchild!) leading to a conclusion where you can see how your decisions affected the universe with a variety of possibilities.

Like everyone, i wanted a bigger battle with the war assets you collect fighting with you. The more space assets oyu get means you can get more ground assets to the battle. The more ground assets, the easier the battle. It should've felt like the climactic final battle to end off the trilogy, not just another level. The scale should've been bigger, maybe have multiple paths, or model London and you have to fight a way to the end, taking any route through the city, or something.

Also have him actually acknowledge and try to stop you way before the final sprint.  It would have improved the mission a lot.

I would not have ended the game the say way BioWare did, but without changing too many of the elements they developed: I would have skipped Earth, taken the conduit from Ilos to the Citadel and have the ending play out with your forces fighting their way through a reaper controlled Citadel (as opposed to reaper controlled London) to open the arms. Once you were in position to open the arms I would call in the fleets and try to hold out against the Reapers until the plot device could be activated, during this phase I would have Shepard and hammer on the citadel fight Harbinger. I also would have replaced Kai Leng with Miranda (either captured and indoctrinated/augmented, or recovered and reanimated with Lazarus project and Reaper tech). KL was never introduced in the games and he had no place in ME3 when you were previously introduced to Cerberus' second in command.

Would have shown most of the collected war assets in action during "Priority: Earth" (and I hope this will be implemented with the EC).
