I have been able to play to completion exactly ONE multiplayer match since sometime early in April.

The forums are full of threads, people complaining about disconnects.  Many, myself included, have tried going to tech support, to no avail.

And yet the problem persists.

Is anyone from EA or Bioware actually looking into the problem?  How about saying something about it?

If not, just tell me so I can make the appropriate additions to my "never buy from again" list.  Or just remain silent on the issue, and I'll do so anyway.

Did you try to update Origin to beta version? Have you updated your Mass Effect 3 to v.1.3?

I'm sure they are working on it. This software (SP & MP) is a complex system. It can be difficult to first find the root cause of a bug and sometimes even harder to implement a proper solution. If you are not already using the latest Origin client (as already mentioned) and the latest patch for ME3, please install those and re-test. If you still have problems then you may want to contact EA live support.

I'm not sure if i'm having the same issue(though it sounds like it) but if i'm lucky enough to even get into a multiplayer match, it'll freeze right at the end when it says mission complete, and then brings up the message from windows saying "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working". Its incredibly frustrating going through entire games(especially on silver/gold) and then crashing out and not receiving any credit for what I just did.

The problem is, it may not be possible. ME3 multiplayer isn't an MMO. When you join a game, you're not talking to a big Bioware server, other than to enter the match, and to report what's happening to the server on occasion. One of the players is the host of each match. It's their computer that is acting as the server, and actually tracking each player and each AI bot's movements, shots, etc.

That also means it could be the connection between your computer/XBox/PS3 and -their- computer/XBox/PS3 that's the problem. How can Bioware or EA fix a random connection issue, between two random computers they have no control over?

Have you tried hosting a match, as opposed to a quick match? Do you still lose connection?

Do you have connectivity issues with other games? What kind? MMO's (server/client), or other peer to peer multiplayer shooters? If so, you may need to contact your ISP.

I host matches myself and still have issues with disconnects. I haven't been able to finish a single multiplayer match since I began playing :/

My internet isn't the issue; it connects fine to WoW, Diablo III, StarCraft II, etc. servers, and the ME3 servers are the only ones I've ever had trouble with. My connection isn't bad, as it still works after the disconnect happens, and it's very frustrating when you get to wave eight and then getting disconnected and not getting credit.

I have very little patience for multiplayer anyway, and it's annoying that I can't even access all the singleplayer content due to the servers continuously disconnecting me.

the lack of reply which would be courtesy on bioware's part sadly means they will not -unforgiveable amongst many stuff up in singleplayer as well if you ask me

The connection drop rate you guys are reporting is not normal and I am afraid that the problem is not on ea's part hier. Yes, the requirement of a constant connection to their server was a stupid idea to begin with, as is the fact that the game does not try to reconnect if connection is lost, but the problem of disconnects lies somewhere else.

Just some random stuff I can think of:

1. Your ISP may cause this (not much to do hier)
2. Wireless networks can have a very high packet drop rate (you will have no problems browsing internet but other programs like multiplayer games can suffer)
3. Your hardware may cause this (router with old buggy firmware)
4. Computer viruses
5. Lousy connectors

Only way to know for sure is to have some computer specialist analyse your network setup there are just to many variables to consider. I am playing from almost day one and have been disconnected only 2 times (yes two) during a match (do get "connection lost" in shop quite often though). I hope you will get it fixed soon.

I'm experiencing this same issue.

Really, really frustrating - I get to wave 2 or 3, and right in the thick of the fight - BOOM - "You have lost your connection to the Mass Effect 3 server...blah blah blah".

It is not my imagination - this has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse since the last patches on ME3 and Origin (which I implemented on my system - PC Windows XP Pro).

It wouldn't be so bad - but it seems to be happening most to me on Silver and Gold level matches - ones where I invest consummables, which are lost when the ME3 servers boot me from MP.  FRUSTRATING.

I have no issues on the xbox with my mass effect 3. I bought it for the PC yesterday to play with some friends who own it on PC and I'm having this issue. It started out fine. then suddenly i couldnt find any matches. now i can go about 3 matches before a disconnect. I have to restart to find another match. If i host no one ever enters the game.

EDIT:  My issues are only on PC.  Xbox works fine.  I checked my updates and my Origin Version and they are all the latest version.

It happens to me after the 1.03 patch release, too.  And if I'm not disconnected then is the host the one disconnected.

Seems it always happens to me on wave 10. The game is running fine, no lag , no indications of any problems. It is almost like after the objective is finished on wave 10, the game checks something, and if it has trouble, it disconnects. I can join a lobby afterward no problem, but the same thing happens again on wave 10.

I have a good time with the game, unfortunatly I must have some kind of incompatibility with my system, as i never have a problem in any other game.
